Special Service Campaign - UMW Toyota Needs You To Send In Certain Toyota Models For Another Airbag Inflator Fix - Better Get It Done Folks!

The official arm of Toyota here in Malaysia has issue a Special Service Campaign (SSC), or service recall, for certain  Toyota models which were previously affected by the previous free airbag inflator service fixes. This is because some of the replacement airbag inflator are still faulty. This Takata airbag debacle is still ongoing. I have to say that Takata has made life difficult for everyone in recent times. Anyway, the affected models are about 41,000 Toyota Vios, Corolla Altis, Camry made between 2001 to 2013.

The Perodua Bezza is The Best Selling Sub 1.0liter Car in Sri Lanka

Quite and interesting bit of export news this. The Perodua Bezza, which has been on sale over in the island nation of Sri Lanka, has become the country's best-selling new sub-1.0 litre sedan beating out the likes of the Kia Picanto 1.0 and also the Hyundai Grand i10 (something we still don't get over here). To date, the Bezza sedan has found around 1,500 new owners there.

The Last Overland Expedition Makes a Stop in Kuala Lumpur - From Singapore to London in a 1955 Land Rover Series I Much Like The First One in 1955

The Last Overland expedition by the 1955 Oxford Land Rover from London to Singapore, arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Monday, the 26th of August 2019  after flagging off in Singapore on the 25th of August. This very unique Land Rover expedition team started their journey from Singapore to London on Sunday and it, in some ways traces what could be one of the most historic automotive events of the 20th Century. The team aims to recreate the original 1955 route charted by The Oxford & Cambridge Far Eastern Expedition (The First Overland). And this, is the Last Overland, which basically uses one of the two Land Rover Series I used in the First Overland expedition. 3. Incorrect - GXtra, SE, AV and Style variants have automatic retractable electric side mirrors
Correct - GXtra, SE, AV and Style variants have retractable electric side mirrors that do not automatically fold once the engine is turned off (the driver folds the mirrors by pushing a button)

Toyota Malaysia Announces Upgrades To The 2019 Toyota Hilux, Fortuner & Innova

UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT), the distributors for Toyota in Malaysia, has announced that they have made some changes or upgrades to the specifications of the 2019 Toyota Hilux pickup, the 2019 Fortuner SUV and the Innova MPV range of vehicles. 2019 Porsche Macan S Launched - Prices Start at RM625,000 Onwards

Official Porsche distributors here in Malaysia, Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) recently announced the arrival of the new 2019 Porsche Macan S. This new variant of the popular Macan features a three-litre V6 turbocharged petrol engine. It was launched in conjunction with the first Sportscar Together Day in Malaysia, an event we recently covered in an earlier post as well as our first drive in the new 2019 Type 992 Porsche 911 Carrera S.
