UMW Toyota Motor has unveiled the new 2023 Toyota Corolla GR Sport and improved 2023 Corolla 1.8G and 1.8E

UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT), who are the official distributor of Toyota vehicles in Malaysia, has launched the All-New 2023 Improved 2023 Toyota Corolla 1.8G and 1.8E with a new third higher specified variant, the Toyota Corolla GR Sport. The prices for the refreshed range of Corolla cars here are RM139,800 for the 1.8E, RM147,800 for the 1.8G and you add another RM5,000 for the GR Sport package to the 1.8G for the Corolla GR Sport making it come in at RM152,800.00 for a sportier Corolla that comes with Gazoo Racing bits, most notably a suspension and wheel/tyre upgrade.

UMW Toyota Motor and GAZOO Racing Malaysia today, for the first time ever in the history of specialty model launches, launched five new GAZOO Racing models comprising three GR and two GR Sport variants consisting of the all-new GR Supra (pictured below), GR Corolla (pictured above), GR86, Hilux GR Sport and Corolla Cross GR Sport. So three actual performance models and two, which are regular Toyota models with GR parts plastered onto them.

As we said in our earlier article with regards to the new 2019 Toyota GR Supra, we had driven Toyota's newest flagship sports car and it was bloody good fun. You can see the drive was just a short one but super memorable as we did a high speed run and some handling exercises which still allows us to have some pretty good initial impressions on this Euro-Japan hybrid sports car.

The All-New GR Supra (A90) is the current Toyota sports car flagship and brings back the 'Supra' moniker and is a joint venture car by Toyota and BMW which supplied the Z4 chassis and drivetrain for Toyota to spin its magic. 

Season 3 of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival and the Toyota Vios Challenge Starts Tomorrow in Kuala Terengganu

Tomorrow is the opening round of Season 3 of the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Festival. It will happen on friday and saturday, the 6th and 7th of September 2019 over at The Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium in Kuala Terengganu. If you are in the vicinity from 10am onwards on those two days, there will be lots of motorsport and Toyota activity for you to witness. It is going to feature the Toyota Vios Challenge on the track with celebrity, amateur and professional racing drivers competing in threeclasses of saloon car racing (Promotional, Sporting and Super Sporting classes respectively) in the one-make Toyota Vios Challenge. Off track, lots of stuff will be happening for everyone.

I haven't had time to write about this year's Toyota's Gazoo Racing Festival and the Toyota Vios Challenge series that is the center of the event. I have been quite busy with so many things that I have not had the time to keep track on this quite interesting event which features some nice amateur racing. It is now the second round of the Vios Challenge and the second venue for the Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival.

They have decided to rejuvenate the “All About the Drive” branding platform with new ideas especially through the upcoming Vios Challenge series.
