Toyota Malaysia Launches Official Online Stores on Lazada Malaysian and Shopee Malaysia - Book A Toyota From Your Home, Office or From Anywhere With Internet

As online shopping has been growing like crazy these days especially with the COVID-19 pandemic where most of us have had to work or do everything from home. You can buy anything online these days and even make the first step in purchasing a car by placing a booking via online shopping portals or through the company websites. Now, Toyota Malaysia has opened their official online stores on Lazada Malaysia and Shopee Malaysia.

Cycle & Carriage Bintang Berhad (C&C) and Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s (MBM) have officially opened the all new Cycle & Carriage Alor Setar Autohaus. Embodying the new Mercedes-Benz Retail Brand Presence, the Autohaus is the first in the northern region to showcase the new concept which is more customer-centric than ever.

This article is slightly different from the norm. Well, with the new social norms in place these days, showcasing something different on Motoring Malaysia would be good. The New Second Generation Range Rover Evoque is Launched in Malaysia - Prices Start at RM426,828 onwards

Earlier today, Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia officially launched the the new 2020 Range Rover Evoque luxury compact SUV. Malaysia will be getting two variants of this second generation Evoque- the entry model Evoque and the Evoque R-Dynamic, priced at *RM426,828 and *RM475,398 respectively (*price stated is inclusive 50% sales tax waiver -valid till 31 December 2020, excluding car registration, insurance and roadtax).

Volvo Car Malaysia Introduces Volvo SELEKT Certified Used Car Programme

Volvo Car Malaysia has launched its new 360 total-care used car programme called Volvo SELEKT. The new programme is created for the discerning customers in mind, who want the same uncompromising excellence and quality of a new Volvo car but at a more affordable price. The Volvo cars sold via Volvo SELEKT are with full Volvo warranty and chosen from a select used cars that are of a certain selected standard. More choices to those that yearn for a Volvo car.

Another good gesture by the folks at Perodua. Ahead of the reopening of schools on 24 June,the company has distributed over 5,000 face shields produced by its associate to 17 secondary schools in the Hulu Selangor district. The face shields will be used by the students, teachers at the respective schools and will add to the level of protection in the fight against the unnecessary spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Volkswagen Launches Official Store on Shopee - Announces Irresistible 7.7 Deals in the Upcoming 7.7 Mid-year Sale

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has officially announced the launching of an official store on Shopee, a leading online shopping platform in Southeast Asia. Further to that, in conjunction with Shopee's coming 7.7 Mid-Year Sale, the brand is offering exclusive deals for cars booked via Shopee from the 23 rd June till 7 th July 2020. You only need RM199 to book a Volkswagen and be entitled to rewards.

Sime Darby's retail and distribution arm, especially its automotive division Sime Darby Motors, has reported that the Pelan Jana Semula Ekonomi (PENJANA) economic stimulus package aimed at propelling Malaysia’s economic recovery post COVID-19 lockdown, Sime Darby Motors, is helping things out for them. According to their latest news release, they are experiencing an increase in demand for its vehicles and is appreciative to the Malaysian government on this initiative. Indeed, the Total Industry Volume (TIV) sales of the automotive industry has seen its May 2020 sales numbers rise to 22,000 units registered froma measly 150 over units registered in the month of April 2020. The relax in the Movement Control Order (MCO) regulations has allowed businesses to recover, albeit to about 65% of its pre-MCO days.

Peugeot in Malaysia Now Has an E-Showroom for Better Customer Interaction - Plus Offers and Other Promos

Nasim Sdn Bhd, the official distributor for the Peugeot brand in Malaysia, recently announced the launch of an e-showroom. This is the Peugeot e-Showroom, which is on their on their official website - https://peugeot.com.my/online-showroom/. UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT), the official distributor of Toyota vehicles in Malaysia has officially launched the fifth generation Toyota RAV4 SUV. The fully imported 2020 RAV4 you see in the images here is a continuation of the original and ground-breaking RAV4 SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) which was first introduced in the mid-1990s. It offered practicality and yet possessed the comfort and handling of a passenger car. It was an immediate success and created a new category in the automobile market. Official Porsche Distributors for Malaysia, Sime Darby Auto Performance, Announces New Prices for Models and Introduces New Porsche 360 Financing+

Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), the official Porsche people in Malaysia has announced their new model prices based sales tax (SST) rebates that was recently announced by the government of Malaysia. The company welcomes the tax incentives that was recently offered by the Prime Minister which will see sales tax for CBU vehicles reduced by 50% as part of the short-term economic recovery plan that will be available from 15 June 2020 until 31 December 2020. And in order to make things even sweeter, customers can opt for a financing programme with the new Porsche 360 Financing+, with an even shorter loan tenure from 12 – 60 months and flexibility on ownership, specially available for the Macan only.

The 2020 Toyota RAV4 Now Open For Pre-Launch Booking

UMW Toyota Motor recently announced the order taking for the much awaited 2019 Japan Car of the Year, the All-New Toyota RAV4 from 10 June 2020 onwards. The sporty looking SUV is scheduled to be launched here in Malaysia within a day to two from the date of this article. UMW Toyota have already announced the price for this SUV and being fully imported, it will be priced from RM223,880 onwards.

The Malaysia Autoshow 2020, which was scheduled to occur in July 2020 at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) will now been postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the measures that were implemented to contain it. The annual autoshow is organised by the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), and it will skip a whole year and only be scheduled for April 2021 but with the proviso that it is subject to the developments of the COVID-19 throughout this year and even 2021 from what we hear.

Isuzu Malaysia have announced that potential Isuzu D-Max customers will by offering a moratorium or deferment of sorts for financing payments on new Isuzu vehicles purchased from 1 June 2020 till 31 August 2020. Called the Isuzu Deferred Installment Campaign, this can be said to be the first programme of its kind in the pick-up segment where customers can defer their loan payments for up to half a year.

Naza Automotive Group, the automotive division of Naza Group, have announced the latest prices for vehicles under its automotive brands. This was made in line with the MalaysianGovernment’s announcement of sales tax exemption for locally-assembled vehicles and tax reduction for imported cars until 31 December 2020 as part of the national economic stimulus plan that it had implement coming out of the COVID-19 induced lockdown. The revised pricelist which is posted below, effective from 15 th June 2020 until 31 st December 2020, covers models offered by Kia, Peugeot, Citroën, and DS brands. Here is Mercedes-Benz Malaysia's update on passenger car prices following the announcement of the Malaysian government's new economic stimulus plan to stimulate the economy amidst the COVID-19 crisis. The initiative to assist the automotive industry includes 100% sales tax exemption for locally-assembled vehicles and a 50% reduction for fully-imported models from 15 th June 2020 until the end of the tax free incentive period. PROTON Announces Price Reduction of 1.2% to 5.7% for Their Vehicle Models - UPDATED With Price List

In line with the Malaysian government’s recent announcement of zero sales tax (0%SST) for cars sold in Malaysia for a six month period beginning 15 June 2020 to 31 December 2020, PROTON will reduce its car prices by 1.2% - 5.7%. The new reduction in prices reflect the zero SST incentive which is a measure implemented by the Malaysian government to try boost the economy as the country emerges from its COVID-19 induced lockdown.

Due to the recent move by the Malaysia government to try bolster the automotive industry and spur local consumption due to the recent slowdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, have announced their new pricelist for the Mitsubishi ASX Compact SUV and Outlander SUV in Malaysia. The new prices are effective immediately until 31 December 2020.

Goodyear Malaysia recently announced its Zero Contact Initiative (Zero Contact), whereby customers can get new tyres fitted at any participating Goodyear Autocare centre without any direct person-to-person contact throughout the entire process. As per the usual norm these days, this is to ensure a safe environment for its consumers and staff as businesses resume amidst the COVID-19 pandemic affecting us all. Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) have announced a reduction on the prices of its models of up to RM9,484, following the announcement on the sales tax exemption. This adjustment will take effect from today, the 15th of June 2020 and will continue to take effect till the 31st of December 2020.

The HINO Poncho 7 meter minibus is starting a trial run within Johor Bahru. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) had been recently entered into between Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Hino Malaysia) and Handal Indah Sdn Bhd (Handal Indah) to start a trial run of a low-floor mini bus in Johor Bahru. The Poncho, is a cute looking, low floor minibus that will be plying Route 10B, which is the route that travels along Johor Bahru City, Pelangi, Sentosa, Pandan, Taman Daya and Taman Setia Indah. It will be almost a one month trial which begins today, the 15th of June to the 12th of July 2020.

Volvo Car Malaysia Announces Latest Prices for Their Vehicles - From 15 June to 31 December 2020

So if you have been looking for a Volvo car now could be the time. The last time this tax rebate was given was when the change of government happened back in 2018. Now you have another chance.

Hyundai fans prepare to be wowed this weekend, as Sime Darby Motors City, Ara Damansara and all other Sime Darby Auto Hyundai (SDAH) outlets nationwide are offering irresistible deals for all new and pre-owned models from the 12 to 14 June 2020. Hello folks! Been a tad bit busy now that the Movement Control Order has entered another more relaxed phase. We can all go about and do nearly whatever we want with the exception of hairdressers and masseurs. The government of Malaysia has also stated that many of the locally assembled and imported cars have lower SST (sales, service tax) from 100% to 50% less and cars are now slightly more affordable. Offers & Promos: Volkswagen Now Offering the Tiguan With 6 Months Free Installments Until 30th June 2020

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia has announced a new promo for their Volkswagen Tiguan SUV. The Tiguan can be had with Six months free installment for all units registered by 30th June 2020. Last 2nd June 2020, BMW Group Malaysia announced a new Plug-in Hybrid vehicle (PHEV) Battery Warranty Programme for BMW and MINI PHEV cars in Malaysia. The premium brand company has enhanced its current PHEV battery warranty programme for its new BMW and MINI vehicles by an additional 2 Years and 60,000KM. What this does is essentially allow owners of the cars to have an 8 Year/ 160,000KM (whichever comes first).

Volkswagen Offers Nationwide Home Delivery Service for New Cars - Free Within a 20km Radius From The Selected Showroom

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) had announced on the 1st of June 2020 a new sales initiative which offers Volkswagen owners the option to have their new cars delivered to their homes, or offices, or even factories. The service is available nationwide at all authorized Volkswagen dealerships. Delivery is free for owners located within a 20-kilometre radius from their selected dealership. So if you live a bit further than that, charges may apply. Anyway, more value added services from VPCM to their customers.

Ford Motor Company together with Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, recently launched the New 2020 Ford Ranger FX4 in Malaysia via Facebook and YouTube Live through a product walkaround session. The launch, on the 3rd of June 2020 was like many others which happened during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) period which was imposed due to Malaysian wanting to curb the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus. The new norm for the moment is social distancing and the New Ford Ranger FX4 is the first pickup truck in the country to be launched on two online platforms simultaneously.

We have just come out of the Movement Control Order (MCO) due to the Malaysian government trying to curb the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus and are now hopefully into the tailend of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO). The shutdown of the country's businesses due to this has led to a near total economic slowdown and now, the automotive industry like other sectors are moving slowly, hoping for recovery of sorts. Malaysian car company PROTON has posted its May 2020 sales figures and they have sold a promising 5,676 units of vehicles.

2020 marks the tenth year of the Volvo FMX series of trucks. This is a heavy duty truck that has been specifically developed for the demanding construction industry. Over the past decade, the FMX's ability to cope with tough conditions has evolved as a result of the introduction of many innovative features. Aside from being developed from the ground up as a heavy duty truck, adding better features and equipment over the years since its introduction, has made the FMX one of the better heavy duty / construction trucks on the market, especially in its current form.

According to the Malaysian Automotive Association, the country's Total Industry Volume (TIV) for vehicle sales will drop from around slightly over 600,000 to about 400,000 due to economic slowdown forced globally by the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be something to monitor closely as now, Malaysia is coming out from the Movement Control Order (MCO) period and people are now going back to work, albeit in a different, more social distanced way. We are now getting the first reports of sales figures and the first is Perodua, which has closed the month of May 2020 with 7,886 cars sold, bringing its year-to-date (YTD) sales total to 52,920 units.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Launches the 2020 Mercedes-AMG Compact Car Series in Malaysia - A 45 S 4MATIC+. CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ & A 35 4MATIC

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia celebrated its first ever online, or internet premiere of the latest Mercedes-AMG compact cars yesterday afternoon due to the Conditional Movement Control Order imposed in the country due to the COVID-19 outbreak. These new Mercedes-AMG are the 2020 Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC, 2020 A 45 4MATIC+ hot hatchbacks and as the first model debut for Malaysia, the 2020 CLA 45 4MATIC+. These are the essentially the piping hot variants of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class hatchbacks and the hottest CLA four-door coupe which you can get. Now on the second generation of the new batch of Mercedes-Benz compact car chassis, it gets the best that Mercedes-AMG can offer for compact cars.

On the 18th May 2020, which was sometime just before the recent Hari Raya Idil Fitri celebrations here in Malaysia, Volvo Car Malaysia launched the Volvo S60 T8 in its Completely Knocked-Down (CKD) or locally assembled form for the country. This is similar to the current fully imported of Completely Built-Up (CBU) variant, the Volvo S60 T8 CKD and it will only come in a single T8 R-Design variant for Malaysia. In this new CKD form, it will now cost us RM295,888 (on-the-road, without insurance, inclusive of excise duty and sales tax) and will be available for viewing at all authorised Volvo dealers and also available for booking via the Volvo Car Malaysia website, which makes sense in these times of a pandemic.
