Here is a short video featuring the 2019 Volkswagen Arteon. The Arteon was previewed over at the (ongoing) Volkswagen Fest 2019 at Setia City Convention Centre (and will be around till 1st September 2019). This was something I whipped up while I was at the official opening of the Volkswagen fest.
The Volkswagen Arteon is finally to be sold in Malaysia. First launched in 2017, it will only make its way here and its officially launched in the 4th Quarter of 2019. This is its second preview here after one earlier this year.
Malaysia will get only one variant, the 280PS 350Nm Arteon 2.0 TSI 4Motion all wheel drive with the 7 speed DSG transmission. This is the full specced, full fat Arteon that we will be getting here. However, as stated, it is the only variant for us. This is due to the fact that it is fully imported.
The Arteon is unique in terms of its styling and features a very bold looking front end. This I believe is the face of all future Volkswagen. The Arteon is basically a sportier Passat. It is a 5 door fastback and is a full sized , D segment car. Like the current B8 Passat, it features a more upmarket look to it inside and out.
Prices is expected to be between RM290K-310K when it is launched.
