Volvo Car Malaysia and Dealer-Partner, Ingress Swede Automobile Officially Opens Their New 3S Centre in Mutiara Damansara

Volvo Car Malaysia together with their dealer-partner, Ingress Swede Automobile earlier today launched the Volvo Car new 3S Centre in Mutiara Damansara. The event was officiated by the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail. It also also attended by the senior management from Ingress Swede’s parent company, Ingress Corporation Berhad, and representatives from Volvo Car Malaysia.

The new 3S (Sales, Service & Spares) Centre is located at the strategic Mutiara Damansara area where it will cater for customers in the surrounding areas. Mutiara Damansara is also known as one of the few automotive sales hubs in and around the Klang Valley and it should drive the growth of the Volvo brand. Volvo Car Malaysia has been focusing on expanding its retail presence, in line with its new transformation strategy, and currently has twelve showroom locations across Malaysia with a further three locations slated to be opened within this year. The expansion plan as well as a very strong current vehicle line-up has been instrumental in its sales volume growth of Volvo here in Malaysia.

“In the premium segment, the product is not the sole factor in the consumer’s purchase decision. What’s equally important is the value, quality, and accessibility of services that they can enjoy throughout their journey with the brand,” said Mr Nalin Jain, Managing Director of Volvo Car Malaysia.

Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail, Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, flanked by (R-L) Datuk (Dr) Haji Rameli Musa, Executive Chairman and Group CEO of Ingress Corporation Berhad;  Mr Nalin Jain, Managing Director of Volvo Car Malaysia; and Mr Rabian Ab Rahman, President of the Auto Dealership Division at Ingress Corporation Berhad; at the launch of the new Volvo Cars 3S Centre in Mutiara Damansara.

Mr Jain had been instrumental in the second phase of Volvo Car Malaysia’s new transformation strategy which not only looks at the revitalisation of the brand’s retail presence but also an overhaul of existing technologies, processes, and people.

“We are looking at incorporating technologies and processes that adds value to our customers’ lives – like our cars, everything we do must add meaning to the experiences of our customers – that is how we would like to impress them,” adds Mr Jain.

The new Volvo Cars 3S Centre features a showroom and service centre that has been built in accordance to Volvo Cars’ latest retail standard – Volvo Retail Experience (VRE) – which communicates the brand’s Scandinavian-inspired values and heritage. It features ample showroom space and has 6 service bays to cater to most of their customer's servicing needs. There is also the usual premium facilities that would make visiting this new Volvo Car Centre a pleasure.

As a whole, Ingress Swede has invested approximately RM4.9 million into the new centre. Those that are familiar with Mutiara Damansara would know that the building used to be a PROTON Platinum Showroom. The renovation works have been quite extensive as only the structure had been kept with everything else transformed into what is essentially a very welcoming showroom.

Speaking on behalf of Ingress Swede, is its Dealer Principal, Mr Mohd Azeman Mohamed Akram Ab Rahman: “Owing to our extensive experience within the premium automotive sector, we are confident in delivering the brand experience that is expected by Volvo Cars’ customers.”

Ingress Swede, being part of the Ingress Corporation are long time players in the automotive industry. They first started out being vendors to the national car brands and have actually expanded their spare parts business throughout the region with 4 manufacturing facilities in Malaysia as well as a couple in Asia. They aren't just a car dealership mind you.

2019 has been a very promising year for Volvo Car Malaysia. The brand announced that it had over than 60 per cent year-on-year growth for the first half of the 2019. The brand is expected to continue this positive cadence into the last quarter of this year, supplemented by new products in the pipelines.
