This new MINI lineup features two fully electrified models, and this newest generation of MINI marks a significant step towards emission-free urban mobility.

MINI Malaysia Introduces the New MINI Cooper S Countryman and the New MINI Cooper SE Countryman - A Slight Refresh for 2021

MINI, the premium compact car brand under BMW Group, had introduced the New MINI Cooper S Countryman and the New MINI Cooper SE Countryman yesterday. This two new for 2021 variants are locally assembled and feature a slight refresh to the trim outside and a little on the inside too. The performance remains the same but as usual, the Countryman range of MINI is more for the small family and more lifestyle oriented.

MINI Malaysia Launches the New 2020 MINI Convertible Sidewalk Edition - Limited to 20 Units Only and Prices at RM285K+ With SST Exemption

MINI Malaysia has launched the New 2020 MINI Convertible Sidewalk Edition. This is limited to 20 units only for the Malaysian market and takes after the original 2007 first generation MINI Sidewalk Generation. It is priced to go at RM285,899.47 after taking into account the SST Exemption which is in force until 31st December 2020.

MINI Malaysia Launches the New MINI Clubman

The New (for the 2020 Model Year) MINI Clubman has been launched here. This refreshed Clubman is about three years from the initial introduction of the unique six door MINI. It comes with a new transmission system and more equipment with even more connectivity for this digital age. This latest MINI model adds to the range and offers station wagon type of motoring to the picture.

MINI Malaysia Launches the MINI 60 Years Edition - Only 60 Units For Malaysia

MINI Malaysia has launched the limited production MINI 60 Years Edition for Malaysia. 60 units of the limited-edition collector’s model is set to arrive in Malaysia with exclusive features, design and innovation in conjunction with 60 Years of MINI. It follows hot on the heels of the MINI Convertible 60 Years Edition which was also recently inveiled here. It is priced at RM255,888 and is quite nice with all of the extra 60 years trim and decals.

MINI Malaysia, has launched the new 2018 MINI in Malaysia. For the moment, the premium compact car marque has the New MINI 3 Door, the New MINI 5 Door (both in Cooper S form), and the New MINI John Cooper Works available for sale in Malaysia. The 2018 MINI features some upgrades made to the engine and transmission as well as other new bits and bobs to the exterior and interior. Prices start at RM226,888 onwards.

After unveiling the MINI Countryman Plug-In Hybrid and while the photographers, journalists and other social media influencers were busy hovering around the first MINI hybrid car sold in Malaysia, MINI Malaysia, then revealed to those present the New MINI Cooper S Countryman Sports. It will also be locally assembled in Malaysia and will cost RM245,888 before insurance and other options. This whilst having the legendary 'Cooper S' moniker is actually less powerful than the eAll4 or hybrid all-wheel drive Countryman Plug-In Hybrid and sits beneath it in the Malaysian MINI Countryman line-up.

MINI Malaysia Comes Out With The MINI Urbanite and The MINI Amplified Limited Editions In Conjunction With The Upcoming Chinese New Year Festivities

Okay folks, MINI Malaysia recently announced that they are offering limited edition MINI hatchbacks called the MINI Urbanite and the MINI Amplified. This is in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year which is the Year of the Dog this time around. Woof, woof!! The MINI Urbanite is based on the MINI Cooper 5 door while the MINI Amplified is based on the MINI Cooper S 3 Door variant. Woof!!! Again.

You may remember him as the chap who wrote that eye watering article about his latest purchase (and spending), the Volkswagen Golf R Mk6. Now he gives us a list on his favourite fairly new and affordable used Hot (and warm) Hatchbacks that you can get in Malaysia. 

My Top 5 Pre-loved Hot (and Warm) Hatchbacks

I have always had a soft spot on hot hatches because I grew up in the one that kick-started the whole hot hatch genre thing, it was a 1976 VW Mk1 Golf. A short trip back to memory lane, I vividly remember that my parents bought it from my almost abnormal uncle and for years it was pretty much the only car that we had that sort of worked and worked well.

All-new Mk3 Mini is larger than ever. Why?

Hot off the preview pages, the Mk3 2014/2015 Mini (above, left). Basically, its huge. 98mm longer (3,821mm), 44mm wider (1,727mm) and 7mm taller (1,414mm) than the Mk2 Mini. The wheelbase is 42mm longer at 2,495mm and it is wider too. Aside from that the top of the range Cooper S now comes with a 2.0liter turbocharged engine making 192hp. See? It even needs a larger sized engine to make it go fast.
