Here is a video review of the new 2019 Proton Saga 1.3 Premium facelift by YS Khong, multiple time Malaysian Rally Champion and all round nice guy. I was lucky enough to be partnered with him during the recent the new car's media drive sometime last week. The Motoring Malaysia video is currently being rendered out on the 'puter as I type and you will see what I think of the new Saga once it has been uploaded on to YouTube.
Do watch the video, it does show what the new facelifted Saga can do in the hands of a seasoned professional. The car actually offers high levels of refinement and driveability. The new 4 speed gearbox which the new Proton engineers managed to put into the car makes the Saga so much better than before. It may only have four speeds but this is an A segment car/sedan and this is the norm for this market segment.
Anyway, watch this video before the one I did comes out. We still have some small differences in opinion on the Saga and for me, one should watch every video or read a lot of articles out there from every motoring channel or publication as we do have differences in opinion. But what we do agree here is that the car offers so much for its under RM40K price tag. It is the best A segment sedan in the market today and offers more than the competition does.
