Bosch Survey Reveals That Battery Failure is the Top Cause of Vehicle Breakdown in Malaysia

Recently Bosch Automotive Aftermarket conducted a survey of 350 Malaysian drivers where they found out that vehicle battery failure is the top cause of vehicle breakdowns in the country. Engine and wiring issues came in at 20% and 5% respectively. So it seems that battery failure is the cause of a whole lot of pain and suffering.

Two new Mitsubishi vehicle variants have been announced recently. The new Mitsubishi Triton VGT AT Premium and a limited edition Mitsubishi ASX Adventure compact crossover are now on sale in Malaysia. The Triton VGT AT Premium and the ASX Adventure is priced RM116,300.00 and RM123,988 respectively, without insurance but with GST in Peninsular Malaysia.

Caltex has successfully completed its annual Caltex Fuel Your School programme (“Caltex FYS”) for the year. The programme, was run in partnership with MyKasih Foundation. It looks like PROTON seems to be on an upward trajectory over the past few months. They have registered a total of 61,380 vehicles from January up to October 2017. During the same period last year, the Malaysian company managed 57,734 units making a slight improvement in sales for the brand.

THE ALL-NEW RENAULT MEGANE GT TO BE DISPLAYED AT THE MALAYSIA AUTOSHOW 2017

The upcoming Malaysia Autoshow 2017 scheduled for the 9th to the 12th of November. Malaysia's premier autoshow will be where TC Euro Cars, official franchise holder of Renault in Malaysia, reveal the new Renault Megane GT. The Megane is Renault's C segment hatchback and it was first launched at the end of 2015 with sales first starting in Europe in July of 2016. It has taken Renault awhile to bring it over but we will finally get to see this interesting looking hatchback.

The Scania, Top Team Malaysia 2017-2018 has just concluded. This biannual competition has been organised by the Swedish truck and bus manufacturer to find the best (after sales) service team out there. This time, the team “Pendekar Penyu” (above) led by Mohd. Faizal bin Abd. Aziz,  from Scania Malaysia Ipoh Branch had been crowned champion.

PROTON Reports Improved Sales - Year To Date Sales Are Up 12.5% To 56,297 Units from 50,091 For The Same Period Last Year

It looks like the slew of new models have benefited national car maker PROTON. They have announced that vehicles sales are up for them for the same period compared to last year. Year to Date sales for PROTON up to the 3rd quarter of 2017 have increased by 12.5%. PROTON have sold 56,297 units up to end September 2017 and if you compare with the end of September 2016, things look sweeter as they only managed 50,091 units for the same period.
