Sri Maju Cergas Logistics Sdn Bhd (SMCL) adds 12 units of Scania Super XT G460A6X4HZ to their fleet.

Sri Maju Cergas Logistics Sdn Bhd (SMCL) has added 12 units of the Scania Super XT G460A6X4HZ heavy duty prime movers to their fleet. Their acquisition has further strengthened their  partnership with Scania  Malaysia which began quite recently in 2023. The handover of 12 units and a signing ceremony for 10 additional units were held at Scania Malaysia, Bukit Jelutong recently.

Scania hands over buses to Ekspress Perdana equipped with ADAS


This event happened in late January 2025. I was a little preoccupied with many other things prior to the recent Chinese New Year celebrations that I actually forgot to publish this. The photos have been sitting in the draft folder of this blog for quite a while. The event is momentous, as this marks the first Scania bus sold in Malaysia with some sort of Advanced Driver Safety features in it. Ekspres Perdana, a brand under Tiara Pesona Sdn Bhd, expands its fleet with 60 units of the first Scania New Bus Generation K410CB6X2NI and K450CB6X2NI Euro 5 double-deck express coaches equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) for safety.

Video: I test drive the 2024 /2025 Scania New Bus Generation K410 Bus with the new Euro 5 Super series powertrain, 12 speed transmission and new axle

 So the other day Scania did their official launch of their Super series of engines for both their New Truck Generation and New Bus Generation. These are essentially their new Euro 5 engines first introduced here in Malaysia sometime last year but Scania Malaysia was a tad bit busy with, well, things to have an event celebrating their presence here. But eventually they did, you can read it here and at the event, I managed to try out their K410 bus with the new Super series engine. The bus here is operated by Sri Maju, an established bus operator and one of those that keep ahead of the curve when it comes to having proper, modern buses here in Malaysia.

Scania and IKTBNDT has produced its first batch of 10 apprentices that had successfully passed the Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia Tahap 2 (SKM Level 2)


Scania, the First Heavy Commercial Vehicle Manufacturer in Malaysia to be accredited as the National Dual Training System/Sistem Latihan Dual Nasional (NDTS/SLDN) Centre by Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia has produced its first batch of 10 apprentices that had successfully passed the Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia Tahap 2 (SKM Level 2) from Institut Kemahiran Tinggi Belia Negara, Dusun Tua - IKTBNDT .

Scania Launches their Award Winning New Truck Generation in Malaysia -


The Scania New Truck Generation range of prime movers has finally been launched in Malaysia. This is the much awaited replacement of the Scania P, G and R or PGR Generation of trucks which are a familiar sight on Malaysian roads. The New Truck Generation of Scania trucks have been designed and engineered to give fleet owners greater total operating economy and profitability, as well as lower CO2 emissions. These are still the P,G and R series but we now have the new L and S series of trucks to complement the range.

Scania Vehicles Sold by Scania Malaysia Are Fully Compatible With B10 Diesel


Good news! If you are running a Scania vehicle and are worried about the implementation of B10 grade of diesel in Malaysia, that is.... 

Scania Malaysia has stated that all Scania vehicles sold by Scania (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. can run on B10 diesel without any need for further adaptation or modification requirements. So any operator running Scania trucks or buses in their fleet need not worry and can sleep soundly at night.

At the 2018 Scania Top Team Regional Finals - 17 Teams From Asia, Oceania & the Middle East Contest Against One Another For Spots in the World Finals in Sweden


Last saturday was the first of two sessions where 17 of its best service teams from Asia, Oceania and the Middle East pit their technical skills against each other in the 2018 Scania Top Team Regional Finals. This event, which is a competition for Scania Service Technicians was held at the Scania Malaysia headquarters in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam. The regional finals features the best service technicians from Australia, Dubai, Iran, Myanmar, Taiwan, Thailand, India, Singapore, New Zealand, Abu Dhabi, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea and Malaysia.

Truck News: Scania Malaysia Delivers 12 Trucks to Circular Agency Sdn Bhd


Recently, we have been hearing a lot from the folks at Scania Malaysia and their trucks as well as buses. This time, the commercial vehicle manufacturer has delivered 12 new Scania trucks to Circular Agency Sdn Bhd.  Circular Agency purchased 11 units of Scania G410LA6x2MNA trucks and 1 unit of Scania G360LA4x2MNA truck.

Good News for our Primary School students! Scania Malaysia has established a fund to motivate and assist primary schools in Malaysia start up curricular activities, extra-curricular activities or projects that focus on sustainability. The “Master Sustainability By Scania” fund will be carried out by Scania Malaysia and will be continuously funded  by a portion of sales revenue of Scania vehicles sold here in Malaysia.

Scania Malaysia Delivers Vehicles in Kuantan - Trucks to Hin Tatt Recycling and a Bus to the PIBG Sekolah Sains Haji Ahmad Shah, Pekan


Hin Tatt Recycling Sdn Bhd and PIBG Sekolah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (SHAH Pekan) recently received keys to Scania trucks and a bus respectively. The handover ceremony was held at the Scania Kuantan branch where it was attended by the customers and Scania Southeast Asia Sales Director, Daniel Tan.

Sin Hock Soon Transport Sdn Bhd, Nurkasih Holiday & Tours Sdn Bhd and LLZ Haulage Sdn Bhd recently took delivery of vehicles from Scania Maalaysia. Sin Hock Soon Transport received 17 trucks, Nurkasih Holiday & Tours received six buses and LLZ Haulage received two trucks respectively.

Scania Malaysia Upgrades Port Klang Branch - More Support For Customers In and Around the Area


Scania (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. has officially launched their newly upgraded Port Klang branch earlier today. The Scania Port Klang branch is located near the North Port. This new centre will serve to strengthen sales and services for its customers in and around the area. It  is easily accessible for customers to send their Scania vehicles for scheduled maintenance and also repairs if needed.

Scania Group President and CEO, Henrik Henriksson Was In Town - We Had a Session on the Shift Towards a Sustainable Transport System...and More


Thursday, the 12th of April 2018 was quite an interesting and rare day for those of us who have been covering commercial vehicles. Scania Group President and CEO, Henrik Henriksson was in town and a few of us were invited to spend some time with him that afternoon. The short meet-up session at Scania's headquarters in Bukit Jelutong was the location and it was an opportunity which I would not have missed as it was a chance to delve further into a person who basically stands at the forefront of what is happening in the world of buses and trucks.

Scania Now Offers Fantastic 3-year warranty with Unlimited Mileage plus 3-year Scania Assistance & 10-year Scania Fleet Management


We have been seeing 5 year warranty is the norm for passenger vehicles here in Malaysian and now, Scania is the first commercial vehicle brad to introduce an enhanced and industry-leading vehicle warranty! Scania Malaysia has now announced a 3-year warranty with unlimited mileage together with 3-year Scania Assistance and 10-year Scania Fleet Management for its trucks sold in Malaysia effective 15 March 2018. Definitely an unprecedented move by a commercial vehicle distributor!

The Petronas FM Drive 2018 Held At Shaziman Transport SB - Featuring Scania Malaysia's Safety and Sustainability in Transport Solutions, Especially Their Trucks in Truck Trains


The PETRONAS Fleet Management Drive (FM Drive) 2018 was held recently and Scania Malaysia was there as an exhibitor. The annual competition is a truck driving competition which promotes safe driving within participating PETRONAS transport providers, especially their road tanker drivers and hauliers.

Truck & Bus News: Scania Malaysia Hosts Half Day Safety Driving Session For The Asian Trucker Drivers Club

I was invited to join a short session on safe driving techniques organised by the Asian Trucker Drivers Club at Scania Malaysia's main office in Shah Alam last Saturday. It was a different start to the weekend as I got the opportunity to spend some time with the people from Asian Trucker, participating members of their Asian Trucker Drivers Club as well as the folks from Scania Malaysia.

Truck News: Scania Top Team Malaysia 2017-2018 Concludes - Ipoh Service Team 'Pendekar Penyu' wins First Place


The Scania, Top Team Malaysia 2017-2018 has just concluded. This biannual competition has been organised by the Swedish truck and bus manufacturer to find the best (after sales) service team out there. This time, the team “Pendekar Penyu” (above) led by Mohd. Faizal bin Abd. Aziz,  from Scania Malaysia Ipoh Branch had been crowned champion.

Truck News: Scania Malaysia Receives Award for Excellence for Safety & Sustainability by the MDCC and the Asia Pacific CSR Council

Scania Malaysia has been given an award for Excellence in Commercial Trucking Safety by the Malaysia Digital Chamber of Commerce (MDCC) and the Asia Pacific CSR Council at the recent Sustainable Urban Transport Malaysia Awards 2017. The Awards ceremony was held in conjunction with the Sustainable Urban Transport Summit 2017 held here in Kuala Lumpur.
