Toyota Picks Up a Gold Award in the 2017 Putra Brand Awards

Toyota again received the Gold award in the Automotive Category at the 2017 Putra Brand Awards held recently. This makes it the sixth consecutive year of winning the top award where Malaysian consumers choose their favourite and most preferred brands in the country. It is also the eighth time that the brand has received the award since the prestigious event began in 2010.

Toyota are one of the three Gold Award winners at this year's award with Perodua and Honda as the other two recepients. No surprise that Toyota (and the two others) were awarded Gold as even we over here can see how they have been doing in the automotive market to date.

The Putra Brand Awards is considered at the premier brand awards event in Malaysia. It is organized by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As) and endorsed by MATRADE with the support of the Branding Association of Malaysia, the Malaysian Advertisers Association and the Media Specialists Association.

The awards utilise a robust consumer research methodology in order to choose the winners. This time, 6000 Malaysian consumers had determined Malaysia’s favourite brands within multiple categories, with each category being awarded a Gold, Silver and/or Bronze for the most preferred brands (not necessarily one winner per category). So this is an award that actually is quite a big deal as it is the consumers who choose themselves as we stated above.
