This is a short video I made on the 2017 / 2018 Toyota Fortuner 2.7 Petrol variant doing a demonstration run at the recent Toyota GAZOO Racing Festival final race weekend at the Technology Park Kuala Lumpur in Bukit Jalil. You can see it going through the paces with the traction control, hill ascent and hill descent systems making easy progress through the course.
This is the 166hp /255 Nm normally aspirated 4 cylinder 2.7liter version. It transfers its power through a 6 speed automatic transmission. Not bad for a petrol engined 4x4. Of course, the turbodiesel packs an even bigger punch with 155hp and 400Nm. The 400Nm is what counts off-road.
