ZF Sales and Service (Malaysia) Gives Back In Conjunction with the recent CNY Festivities - The Selangor Family Aid Association Receives Aid from ZF & Partners

I have been super tied up with things especially over the recent Chinese New Year celebrations. Well, so have most of the companies and manufacturers related to the automotive industry. Everyone has been giving and sharing, making the festive season a time where people in need get to breathe a little and be merry too. One of the companies that have reached our attention are the people who make transmissions and other automotive parts - ZF Sales and Service (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, where they held a one day charity drive some time last February.

ZF chose the Strand Mall as their location. This was a shopping mall close to where their Malaysian headquarters is located in Kota Damansara and the event was conducted in order to assist the Selangor Family Aid Association (SFAA). During the public event, ZF collected over 600 staple food items for SFAA. SFAA is a non-profit organisation which provides help and assistance for the aged, handicapped and physically/mentally challenged children.

The event was held in partnership with CHI Fitness which organised a series of fitness demonstrations as part of the drive to attract members of the public. CHI Fitness gave out some two day passes for those that donated more than two items. I mean, ZF can't just show off their gearboxes and all that. It has to be some fun and games involved of course!

This is the second year that ZF has supported the SFAA. In addition to the charity drive, which was focused on collecting staple items such as rice, oatmeal, Milo, cooking oil and so on. ZF team members also visited the SFAA home to deliver additional food packed and drink to the residents. Sometimes, it isn't just the necessities, but the occasional interaction between humans is what these people need.

ZF are delighted to give back in some small way, through the involvement of their team and partners. These include their customers Rimbunan Kuasa Sdn. Bhd., Syarikat Selayang Muhibbah Sdn. Bhd., Stuttgart Parts Centre Sdn. Bhd., Klang Yew Huat Auto Parts Industries Sdn. Bhd., Gee Hup Auto Supply Sdn. Bhd., Syarikat See Soon Auto Sdn. Bhd., Benzie Auto Parts Sdn. Bhd., Suan Huat Auto Corp Sdn. Bhd., Strongway Auto (M) Sdn. Bhd., King Hup Motor Sdn. Bhd., Continental Auto Parts Sdn. Bhd., Syarikat Glory Auto Specialists Sdn. Bhd and partners CHI Fitness, Strand Mall, Paperfish TTDI, ZF staffs and of course, members of the public who contributed.

Speaking of SFAA,  the association President, Dato’ Seri Pusparajah Gunaratnam said that the rising cost of living has made it a little difficult for them to stock staple food items for the 102 elderly and disabled residents aged between 21 and 96 years old. These needy folk are housed at the association's centre in Ulu Yam Bahru. They currently have no sustainable funding and have to depend on donations from the public, so they truly appreciate any and all help in order to run their centre.
