The Scrambler Ducati. This is a how Ducati are calling their Ducati Scrambler motorcycle. Of course, here in Malaysia you could be saying it like that naturally if you are speaking Malay as a noun usually comes first - like 'Bandar Taiping' for Taiping Town. But since this is an Italian motorcycle, it is the Scrambler Ducati, which according to Ducati, is more than just a motorcycle but a brand which enhances creativity, self-expression and the sharing of positive emotions like fun, joy and freedom made of motorcycles and stuff surrounding biking (of the motorised sort).
Anyway, in line with that way of thought, Next Bike Sdn Bhd, aka Ducati Malaysia, the official distributor of Ducati Motorcycles in Malaysia recently hosted an exclusive ‘Bikes X Boards’ barbeque gathering for its Scrambler Ducati owners on the evening of the 3rd of March 2018, at the Ducati Malaysia showroom in Petaling Jaya.
This totally unique gathering cum event is in line with the increase in Scrambler Ducati motorcycle ownership here in Malaysia, which Ducati Malaysia are darn appreciative of. The event saw the introduction of a skate competition in collaboration with Frontside TV, who are a part of the local skateboard scene. The ‘Bikes X Boards’ event was an appreciation night to reach out and develop the Scrambler Ducati community and get them to be more involved in the local Ducati activities. It is also targeted at potential prospects from the skateboard community and social media influencers as a youthful and inventive partner. Starting 'em young in some ways, bringing fresh new faces to the marque.
Ducati Malaysia showcased the complete range of Scrambler Ducati variants, lifestyle apparel and functional accessories available for Scrambler Ducati owners. Of course, there were the other Ducati bikes too. But aside from that, two new lifestyle elements are introduced that evening, the Scrambler Ducati Radio and DJ concept and the Scrambler Ducati Food Factory concept. In other words, guests that day got to listen to good music and eat some food whilst looking as some skateboarding and motorcycles.
The Scrambler Ducati Radio and DJ concept had 2 local DJs from Disco Santan performing live music spinning sessions throughout the entire event while interspersing with Scrambler Ducati Radio Live Streaming which is aimed at educating the public on the availability of a live-streaming radio specifically for the Ducati enthusiast. The Scrambler Ducati Food Factory concept offered a Barbeque-style cookout in keeping with the theme of Scrambler Ducati menu items, but with localised taste. About 100 Scrambler Ducati owners, local skateboard community and invited guests turned up for the event that day.
The event was also held in order to launch the official Scrambler Ducati Malaysia social media channels on Facebook and Instagram, in line with Ducati Asia’s request and Corpotate Identity (CI) guidelines for individual brand management of both Ducati and Scrambler Ducati brands.
