Apollo Tyres had recently announced that they are now offering an additional 5 tyre sizes to its current range of tyres. These new additions are part of their unique dual branded Apollo-Manchester United tyre range. According to the tyre maker, these new tyres expands their range and at the same time offers some custom designed tyres especially for football fans throughout Malaysia. Of course, even hardcore Liverpool fans can buy these tyres, if you want to of course.
According to Mr. Shubhro Ghosh, Group Head, ASEAN & Middle East region, Apollo Tyres Ltd, the 5 new sizes were developed based on the success of their debut 15” variant when the brand first started official sales in Malaysia about three years ago. He also stated that these tyre choices remain true to Apollo’s core belief of achieving the highest levels of safety through design that promotes absolute performance and control.
Apollo claims that this tyre range will allow drivers to experience a quieter drive and have superior handling in dry and wet surfaces, but they will also get to show off the Manchester United logo on their tyre sidewall. Of course, when the tyre is stationary. You can't see anything if they're spinning.
But anyway, these new additions are for some common sizes used by many Malaysian specced vehicles. The new sizes for the Apollo-Manchester United tyres are:
195 55 R15
205 55 R16
215 55 R17
245 45 R18
265 65 R17
And the previous size 195 65 R15
With the launch of this new tyre, Apollo will continue to provide a one year Unconditional Warranty (UCW) for their whole passenger car tyre range. This warranty is over and above the 5-year basic manufacturers’ warranty and it covers all kinds of tyre damages such as accidental tyre damage or impact breaks giving customers complete peace of mind when they drive out on a new set of Apollo’s tyres.
The extended range of Apollo-Manchester United tyres is now available at authorised Apollo dealers nationwide. So Manchester United fans take note. You can now have tyres with 'Manchester United' emblazoned on them.
