Century Logistics Holdings Berhad, a leading provider of supply chain solutions recently took delivery of 80 units of FUSO (FE71PB) light-duty trucks from the Hap Seng Commercial Vehicle Sdn Bhd, the authorised FUSO dealer here in Malaysia. The FUSO brand, is owned by Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles and is officially represented here in Malaysia by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Commercial Vehicles (MBMCV) and their dealers. The delivery marked the growing partnership between the parties herein.
Century Logistics Holdings have been around since the 1970s, where they started off as just a small forwarding agent. But today, the Group, which is a public listed entity has since diversified into integrated logistics, oil logistics, procurement logistics as well as data management solutions. Riding on the expertise of CJ Logistics, Century has recently embarked on providing courier services. CJ Logistics is a major shareholder of Century and is the dominant parcel delivery company in South Korea.
The logistics company is actually new to the FUSO brand, only becoming a FUSO customer sometime last year. Century Logistics Holdings Berhad’s fleet of 80 FUSO light-duty trucks will comprise primarily of the FE71PB light truck series.
As Century Logistics is a first time buyer for FUSO trucks, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, Vice President, Commercial Vehicles, Mr Albert Yee has stated that MBM CV is delighted that Century Logistics Holdings Berhad has placed their confidence in our highly reliable and economical commercial vehicles and extensive service network.
MBM CV’s authorised FUSO dealer, Hap Seng Commercial Vehicles Sdn Bhd, will provide extensive aftersales support and vehicle maintenance for Century Logistics Holdings Berhad’s FUSO fleet. Hap Seng Commercial Vehicle Sdn Bhd Chief Operating Officer, Mr Wong Leh Seng mentioned that speed, safety and reliability of a logistics provider's vehicles is of utmost importance.
Together with Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, Hap Seng intends to deliver the highest level of quality and service to Century Logistics Holdings so that they can be at ease and enjoy peace of mind. A whole lot of up-time and reliability is super important in the transport business, as we have heard again and again. If all goes well, Century Logistics will be adding more FUSO trucks to their fleet.

The FE71PB series is commonly used for short distance distribution and inter-state logistic transportation. It is an ideal truck in the courier servicing industry due to its size. It is powered by a MITSUBISHI FUSO 4D34-2AT5 Turbocharged with intercooler 4 cylinder 3.9liter diesel engine. Power is rated at 110hp and 275Nm torque driving the rear wheels (4x2 setup) via a 5 speed manual gearbox.
