Volkswagen Is The Official Automotive Partner For The Le Tour de Langkawi 2018

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has announced that Volkswagen is the official automotive partner for the Le Tour de Langkawi 2018 (which is currently ongoing - as at 22nd March 2018). Le Tour de Langkawi has been held in Malaysia since 1996. It is a multiple stage bicycle race held throughout Malaysia. It has gained multiple accolades and is now seen as a permanent fixture in the global competitive cycling calendar, attracting the world’s top riders.

Volkswagen were official car sponsors back in 2016. This basically marks the return of Volkswagen as official car sponsors and they will be providing a total of 180 vehicles this year. The current Volkswagen car line-up will be used throughout the cycling competition by riders, the team personnel, safety marshals and also event officials. So the Volkswagen Polo, Vento Highline, Passat Trendline, Passat Highline and the Tiguan Highline will be making appearances here and there throughout the event.

VPCM is also will be presenting the White Jersey to the competition’s Asian Champion, and commenting on the partnership with the organisers of Le Tour de Langkawi 2018, Erik Winter, Managing Director of VPCM said that Volkswagen is honoured to once again be part of Asia’s most prestigious cycling event.

VPCM are delighted to be able to support the race with their current range of Volkswagen models which will showcase their versatility, and they also look forward to a display of endurance, agility and strengths from the world-class riders taking part.

International events are usually pretty fun events as they allow exposure to many brands and it actually allows locals to have a glimpse into the lives of competing atheletes from all over the world. Oh, it also shows you that you can actually travel in style whilst competing too.
