Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Commercial Vehicles (MBM CV) has officially opened their latest 3S commercial vehicle centre with their long time partners, Cycle & Carriage Bintang Berhad. The Cycle & Carriage Bintang Commercial Vehicle Centre (Cycle & Carriage CV Centre) in located in Gopeng, Perak. This is just a stone's throw away from the Ipoh, the capital of the state of Perak. The launch is significant as it is Cycle & Carriage Bintang’s 13th Mercedes-Benz dealership, and its entrance into the FUSO retail business, having previously provided FUSO after sales only.
Approximately RM1.1million was invested into the Cycle & Carriage CV Centre. It is a full-fledged 3S centre catered for Mercedes-Benz and FUSO vehicles. The CV centre is able to display eight commercial vehicles complete with open-air canopy concept and a customer lounge for more personalised customer service. The centre is equipped with four work bays, a full length work pit and a dedicated engine repair area, the CV centre is able to service up to 43 Mercedes-Benz and FUSO commercial vehicles a month. It is managed by experienced sales, technical services and spare parts personnel.
With a built-up area of 13,412 sq ft, the centre also provides driver amenities for greater convenience and comfort so that they can actually wait for their trucks to be serviced in comfort. Some comforts include a reading area, prayer room, and rest rooms which are equipped with beds and recliners. These are features specifically with the commercial vehicle market segment in mind. Sometimes, drivers would need to be back on the road delivering their cargo right after sending their vehicle for maintenance, so the facilities provided are indeed beneficial.
This new centre comes as Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and Cycle & Carriage Bintang continue expanding their customer touch points by having a proper place to sell and market their commercial vehicles, provide dependable service quality and also ensure a more extensive after-sales expertise for the northern region of Peninsular Malaysia.
Aside from the official launch of the CV centre, MBM CV and Cycle & Carriage officially entered into a sales and service agreement for the FUSO brand. This basically enables the company to also sell and service FUSO commercial vehicles. The Cycle & Carriage CV Centre in Gopeng is its first dedicated outlet for Mercedes-Benz and FUSO commercial vehicles only. This 13th outlet also adds another touch point in Cycle & Carriage's Mercedes-Benz vehicles outlet in Malaysia.

During the same event, Cycle & Carriage Berhad also took the opportunity to deliver a unit of the Mercedes-Benz Actros prime mover each to Chuan City Enterprise Sdn Bhd and Pek Ong and Sons Nurseries Sdn Bhd. Both companies are new customers to Cycle & Carriage Bintang. This was the first Mercedes-Benz Actros purchase for Chuan City Enterprise Sdn Bhd, and the second for Pek Ong and Sons Nurseries Sdn Bhd.

The CV Centre is also strategically situated near PUSPAKOM to reduce the customer waiting period of their vehicles for shorter turn-around time for commercial vehicle inspection.
