Recently, over 150 talented students from 16 countries from all over the world attended the Land Rover 4x4 in Schools Technology Challenge World Final at Yas  Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi to participate in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) education competition. This is quite an ambitious and innovative Corporate Social Responsibility  initiative undertaken by Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) as it actually unearths future talent for JLR.

Hyundai KONA Receives 5 Stars For The Euro NCAP

Hyundai Motor’s All-New KONA has received the maximum five-star safety rating from the independent vehicle assessment organisation Euro NCAP. Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), Malaysian distributors of Porsche, introduced the new Macan SportDesign Series yesterday. The Macan SportDesign Series gets a lot of equipment which is usually in the options list. It is priced at RM 545,000.00 including all applicable duties, except registration fee, road tax and insurance. This actually represents a substantial saving compared to a similarly well equipped Macan. It is however exclusively limited to only 40 units.

DEFTECH, DRB-HICOM's subsidiary has unveiled Malaysia’s first Super Quick Charge (SQC) Electric Vehicle (EV) - the Putra NEDO EV bus. The SQC EV Bus project is part of  the Memorandum of Understanding entered into by Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPj) and New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) of Japan. Truck News: ISUZU MALAYSIA Delivers 115 Units of Isuzu ELF Trucks to City-Link Express

This is quite a deal for Isuzu Malaysia. The Japanese vehicle manufacturer recently delivered 115 units of various Isuzu trucks to City-Link Express (M) Sdn Bhd as part of their 2017 fleet agreement purchase. This saw 105 units of the Isuzu ELF 4-wheeler (NLR77UEE) model and 10 units of the Isuzu ELF 6-wheeler (NQR75UKN) model. This new trucks now join the City-Link fleet of which now has 322 units of Isuzu trucks.

Bosch Survey Reveals That Battery Failure is the Top Cause of Vehicle Breakdown in Malaysia

Recently Bosch Automotive Aftermarket conducted a survey of 350 Malaysian drivers where they found out that vehicle battery failure is the top cause of vehicle breakdowns in the country. Engine and wiring issues came in at 20% and 5% respectively. So it seems that battery failure is the cause of a whole lot of pain and suffering.

The Triton VGT AT Premium and the ASX Adventure is priced RM116,300.00 and RM123,988 respectively, without insurance but with GST in Peninsular Malaysia.

Caltex has successfully completed its annual Caltex Fuel Your School programme (“Caltex FYS”) for the year. The programme, was run in partnership with MyKasih Foundation. Industry News - PROTON Sells More Cars - Seems Like An Upward Trajectory For The Company

It looks like PROTON seems to be on an upward trajectory over the past few months. They have registered a total of 61,380 vehicles from January up to October 2017. During the same period last year, the Malaysian company managed 57,734 units making a slight improvement in sales for the brand.
