Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), Malaysian distributors of Porsche, introduced the new Macan SportDesign Series yesterday. The Macan SportDesign Series gets a lot of equipment which is usually in the options list. It is priced at RM 545,000.00 including all applicable duties, except registration fee, road tax and insurance. This actually represents a substantial saving compared to a similarly well equipped Macan. It is however exclusively limited to only 40 units.
It brings a little more value to what you can purchase with Porsche's smallest SUV. The new Porsche Macan SportDesign is available in two attractive exterior colours - Volcano Grey Metallic and Carrara White Metallic. These combine perfectly with matching black-red leather interior.
The exterior features a more aggressive looking front end, painted side skirts and sportier rear apron. A new livery with subtle silver and red accents was specially designed to differentiate the Macan SportDesign Series from the usual production variant. There are also contrasting black accents enhancing the overall look; black LED headlights including the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+), tinted LED taillights as well as roof rails and sports tail pipes in high gloss black.
Finishing off the exterior are 21-inch alloy wheels that are available in two designs - the 911 Turbo Wheel in a multi-spoke design or as an alternative, the Sport Classic Wheel, a forged one-piece alloy wheel painted in high gloss black (here you can see both designs in the white and grey coloured cars in the Photos).
As for the inside of the Macan SportDesign, it gets a Black and Garnet Red combination leather interior. The Garnet Red colour scheme is also used in other design elements including the contrasting stitching, seat belts, instrument cluster and the Sport Chrono stopwatch. The compact SUV also comes with standard Bose Surround Sound System with 14 loudspeakers and 545 watts provides a sophisticated audio experience of the highest calibre. There are 14-way power seats including memory function for both the driver and front passenger.
Other standard equipment includes air suspension with leveling system and ride-height adjustment including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and the Sport Chrono Package.
All of these extra equipment makes the Macan a little bit fresh again, especially since it still comes it at around the same price as before. As with all SDAP cars, it will come with a four-year warranty and free maintenance package for peace-of-mind ownership. But do note that specifications and prices are subject to change without prior notice.
The new Porsche 360 Financing will also be made available for this car. The Porsche 360 Financing is an alternative offered by SDAP compated to conventional financing by reducing monthly payments by up to 30% and providing flexible terms for better cash flow management.
Porsche Open House This Weekend
In conjunction with the launch of the new Macan SportDesign, SDAP is also organising an Open House at Porsche Centre Glenmarie and Porsche Centre Sungai Besi this weekend. For Porsche owners in the Northern Region, the Macan SportDesign Series will be on preview at the Farquhar Mansion on the same weekend.
