The New Second Generation Range Rover Evoque is Launched in Malaysia - Prices Start at RM426,828 onwards

Earlier today, Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia officially launched the the new 2020 Range Rover Evoque luxury compact SUV. Malaysia will be getting two variants of this second generation Evoque- the entry model Evoque and the Evoque R-Dynamic, priced at *RM426,828 and *RM475,398 respectively (*price stated is inclusive 50% sales tax waiver -valid till 31 December 2020, excluding car registration, insurance and roadtax).

I'm keeping this a short one as there are more Zero GST updated pricing for me to share with you readers out there. There is quite a lot of save if you buy any car right now. Even a Jaguar Land Rover. Here is the updated Jaguar Land Rover price list with the goods and services tax (GST) rated at 0% from June 1, 2018 until the implementation of sales and service tax (SST).

The Range Rover Velar is Now On Sale - Prices Start at RM529,800++ [with short video]

What I think is the most beautiful SUV in recent years has just been launched in Malaysia. It isn't just me saying that the New Range Rover Velar is gorgeous, but it did win the Car Design of the Year at the 2018 World Car Awards recently. So my thoughts on its looks are somewhat justified, yes? First launched in early 2017, it finally makes it to our shores. Better late than never.

Range Rover Velar is the World Car Design of the Year at the 2018 World Car Awards - Malaysian Preview in April 2018!

The Range Rover Velar has won the World Car Design of the Year title at the 2018 World Car Awards. It may be only the second most affordable Range Rover in the Range Rover lineup, after the Range Rover Evoque, it looks every bit a worthy edition. But whilst this bit of news deserves to be celebrated, another little bit of news is interesting for those who would want to own the Velar here in Malaysia. It will be reaching Malaysia sometime in April 2018 and it is local distributors Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia have already announced that they are taking bookings for the good looking SUV!

JAGUAR LAND ROVER MALAYSIA Set To Launch The Range Rover Velar By the Second Quarter of 2018

There are two SUVs from Jaguar Land Rover that I am eagerly awaiting their arrival to our Malaysian shores. They are the recently previewed Land Rover Discovery (at the recent Malaysia Autoshow 2017) and the recently launched Range Rover Velar, which would be launched early in the second quarter of 2018. The Velar is the latest Range Rover which sits between the entry level Range Rover Evoque and the Range Rover Sport.

New Exhibit/Tour at the Land Rover Solihull Factory - 50 YEARS OF VELAR: THE STORY OF RANGE ROVER

 Land Rover launches a new visitor attraction at its Solihull home over in the UK. The new exhibit was created to celebrate 50 years of the world's most revered luxury SUV - the original Range Rover prototype which was actually codenamed 'Velar'. The tour takes visitors on a journey from the 1967 Velar prototype to the new Velar. The interactive exhibit showcases British design and engineering story behind the world’s greatest luxury SUV.

Taking it easy this weekend as it is still Hari Raya Aidil Fitri open house weekends till the end of July. I heard a friend's relative took 3 hours to reach Section 6 in Shah Alam from Ampang Jaya. Hearing this was stressful. So this is Project Kahn's latest showing which would make sitting in a traffic jam much more relaxing. Happy Deepavali! Since this is an auspicious day let's bring out guest writer Firdaus Asri and his post about Range Rovers. Usually Firdaus drives around in a Volkswagen Golf R Mk6 and does not really fancy anything with a boot. I think he still does not as he has chosen to write about his opinion on the current Range Rover. And that large SUV does not have a boot. It has a hatch. Therefore it is a hatchback....errr. I rarely get a chance to drive interesting cars lately for which I would blame it solely on the Editor because he 'sapu' all the nicest ones like the Jaguar XJ last week (Ed- We just didn't want you to drive about 45 minutes in the traffic and rain in order to spend 10 minutes in one and drive home crying on why you cannot afford one. But then without wanting to cry like a baby too much, I thought of writing on cars that are pretty and interesting on its own accord without going into too much details on everything else. Today is the day before the start of the Fasting month and the last of a slew of events that automotive manufacturers have decided to do before things actually slow down a fair bit (with the exception of some binge eating and drinking of water when it comes to breaking fast). Over the past month or so I have attended numerous launches of vehicles, products and did a few tests. In fact, there have been so many launches until I have a few articles and test drive reviews in the back burner. 

Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia organises off-road experience - So I got to try the Range Rover Sport

Jaguar Land Rover (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (JLRM), authorised importer and distributor of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles in Malaysia recently organised a 5 day special off-road driving experience event at Sepang to owners, potential buyers and members of the media. More than 500 Land Rover owners had the opportunity to experience first hand the features and systems featured on Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles. And there are lots of features in all of them. They also were given the opportunity to have a sneak preview of the new Land Rover Discovery Sport (below) as well as the complete range of Jaguar cars in Malaysia. This includes the very tasty and mind blowingly fantastically sounding Jaguar F-Type coupe. They were like trumpets from heaven. But, before I start dreaming of exhaust notes, let's get back to the story at hand.

2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport spotted in PJ

The all new Land Rover Discovery Sport has been spotted at the Sime Darby office building at Oasis, Ara Damansara in Petaling Jaya earlier today.

This is the entry level Land Rover passenger vehicle and it replaces the Freelander models. The Disco Sport should be sold here soon as we are seeing these cars on the road for testing and other tests.

Land Rover Range Rover Evoque (TECH PACK) RS250 by Project Kahn

This is for you guys who have Range Rover Evoques lying around and need some inspiration on what to do with your ride in order to make it stand out from the others. On a personal point, I do think the Evoque is one of those crossover vehicles that actually look good and work properly well. It is surprisingly grippy on high speed corners even though it actually is quite tall. It actually looks good and handles well too. So give me one of these over an Audi Q5 anytime.
