Proton Announces 7,007 Units Registered for January 2019 - Sales Led by the New X70 SUV - More Offers for the Month of February


Proton Cars recorded Malaysian sales of 7,007units for January 2019 ensuring the manufacturer have an estimated market share of 14.5%, before official confirmation by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA). This upsurge in sales numbers was led by the newly launched Proton X70 SUV, which is Proton's first SUV and the first car that has come out from the Geely-Proton tie-up.

Perodua Will Reimburse Cash Amount to Remaining 3,100 Myvi Customers Whose Deliveries Are Affected by Production Issues


Recently, Perodua had announced that they had temporarily halted production of the Myvi due to a vendor supply disruption. This has caused many customers and potential customers to worry whether they can register their new Myvi before 1st September 2018, which is the date SST will be implemented replacing GST (tax) after a three month tax holiday. However, the good news is that Perodua will be reimbursing a cash amount to the remaining 3,100 identified customers who were originally set to receive their Myvi before 1 September 2018.

UEM Edgenta Takes Delivery of Proton Cars


UEM Edgenta Berhad recently took delivery of 32 Proton cars consisting of the Proton Perdana and the Proton Persona. The cars will be used by UEM Edgenta's subsidiary companies, Edgenta PROPEL Berhad, which are infrastructure maintenance specialists, where they monitor and upkeep over 2,500km of roads in Malaysia.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Announces Record Sales, Service and Vehicle Financing Figures for 2017 - Another Fabulous Year For Them With 12,045 Cars Sold!

The premium automaker actually sold 12,045 vehicles last year which translates to a total market share of 2.3%.
