The 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC is now available in Malaysia for RM363K onwards

A few days ago, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia launched the new Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC. This is their slightly larger than the GLA-series SUV but smaller than the GLC-series SUV model of SUV. So many SUVs there. Anyway, this new compact SUV is a little larger than the A-class derived GLA so it may suit a lot more people out there. Anyway, this will come in this AMG specified variant (as well as Mercedes-Benz GLB 200, 250 variants) and could be very good to those that find the GLA 35 a tad too basic for their liking....if there ever was such a thing.

This facelifted model actually takes over both the 1.8liter and 2.0liter TSI variants here and is actually even cheaper than the sole 2.0liter variant sold here previously. The 1.8TSI started at RM159K for the base Trendline and RM179K for the Comfortline. So the single 2.0TSI seems to be good value and actually suits Malaysian car buying trends where the highest specification variant seems to be the one that sells the best in the long run. 

Ferrari SF90 Stradale Previewed in Malaysia - The First Series Production Plug-in Hybrid by Ferrari

Naza Italia, who are the official importer and distributor of  Ferrari  in Malaysia, has officially launched the SF90 Stradale. The unveiling of the new Prancing Horse was done in conjunction with the unveiling of the newly renovated Ferrari Petaling Jaya showroom earlier today. This is Ferrari's first series production PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) ever and it is available from the base price of RM 1,908,000.00 (before duties, customization options, taxes and insurance). Of course, be prepared to wait for a little while (as long as eighteen months or more) as it is a Ferrari, and demand outstrips supply.

Hello folks! This is motoring/motorsports related as well as aviation related. Check out this chase scene between an Airbus Corporate Helicopters' ACH160 helicopter and Renault F1 Team at the Circuit Paul Richard race track at Le Castellet. The Proton X50 Officially Rolls Off Its Production Line - Media Preview with 4 Variants & 6 Colours Confirmed - Bookings Taken From 16 September Onwards

Volkswagen Malaysia Announces Recall on 12,732 Vehicles For the DSG Transmission Hydraulic Pressure Accumulator

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) have announced a voluntary recall on models produced between 2011 and 2015 to rectify the hydraulic pressure accumulator within the 7-speed dual clutch gearbox caused by a production issue. A total of 12,732 Volkswagen vehicles have been identified to undergo inspection under the recall. The affected models are Beetle, Cross Touran, Golf (Mk6 and Mk7), Jetta, Passat (B7), Passat CC, Polo (6R) and Scirocco.  This inspection and part change, if needed is free of charge to the owners.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has introduced the new C 200 AMG Line and compared to the current C 200 Avantgarde which was essentially the entry level C-Class here, this is what most of us would want. And it is priced slightly cheaper too - RM251,587.39 over RM259,000 when the C 200 AV was launched in February of 2019. Most likely due to the lack of sales tax due to the tax holiday but I'll take it as a drop nonetheless.

Perodua has added a new body colour for the ever popular Perodua Myvi. All variants have Electric Blue as a colour option to choose from. Volvo Trucks Malaysia Delivers 5 New FM370 4X2 and FM440 6X2 Trucks to Chemtrax Sdn Bhd

Johor-based transportation company Chemtrax Sdn Bhd (Chemtrax), has taken delivery of five units of Volvo trucks from Volvo Trucks Malaysia. These are four units of the Volvo FM370 4x2 model and one unit of the Volvo FM440 6x2 model prime mover trucks. The purpose of  Chemtrax's acquisition is for the company’s expansion and also for replacing several old trucks in its fleet. The new trucks will be utilised for transporting caustic soda chemical compounds and also butadiene gas.

New Toyota Corolla Cross Launched in Thailand - New Compact SUV Globally Launched Online - No Idea When it Will Be Coming to Malaysia

The Toyota Corolla Cross has been unveiled via Toyota Thailand's website. The New Compact Toyota SUV is now officially on sale in Thailand and will be launched in a number of markets, including Malaysia from the looks of it as we actually received the word of the launch from UMW Toyota Motor, the Malaysian distributor of all things Toyota. No idea as to when it will officially be launched here but do expect Thailand imported vehicles to be sold here when that happens (much like the Corolla Altis 1.8G we currently have here.

New sales campaign by Shell Advance called the #outrideanything campaign. The Movement Control Order (MCO) over the past few months has impacted the livelihood of many Malaysians, including those who rely on their motorcycles for their daily income. As Malaysians are adjusting towards the new norm with industries opening in the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) period, Shell Malaysia hopes to give bikers and bike mechanics something to look forward to, with its three-pronged #OutrideAnything campaign. There is a chance to take home a bottle of Shell Advance AX7 engine oil, free bandanas (pictured above) with engine oil purchase and also Shell Advance Masterclass for up to 2,000 motorcycle mechanics throughout 2020.
