There currently is the Volvo 2020 Merdeka Campaign which is ongoing and held in conjunction with the upcoming celebrations of Malaysia's 63th National Day and also the Malaysia Day. The campaing will be based on the idea that good things come in three and centre upon three Volvo sedans which are the Volvo S60 T8 R-Design,Volvo S90 T8 Inscription Plus and Volvo S90 T8 Special Edition.There are also three special deals which are free first-year insurance, free Polestar optimisation package and free 5-year service maintenance (VSA5+) which will come with purchase of the cars mentioned above. Until the end of 2020, all Volvo cars for 2020 will be sold with the tax break stated by the Malaysian government so the deals are sweet.
On top of the three special deals mentioned above, Volvo Car Malaysia is also adding on extra deals for buyers of the Volvo S90 Inscription Plus and Volvo S90 T8 Special Edition. These are making the S90 sedan more tantalising in the form of a RM15,000 voucher to purchase accessories for the former model, and a complimentary exterior styling kit and a 20” rim and tyre package worth RM35,000 for the latter model. This is one premium car that I believe we should see more on Malaysian roads as that it is indeed a unique drive and more of them should be around. Maybe with this deal, more S90 will be seen in and around town.

In terms of value, the three special deals under the Volvo 2020 Merdeka Campaign consisting of free
first-year insurance, free Polestar optimisation package and free 5-year service maintenance (VSA5+) is worth RM11,000, RM5,250 and RM9,200 respectively. In addition, Maybank credit card customers will be entitled to a 0% Ezypay Instalment Plan of up to RM30,000, which includes 10 times Maybank TreatsPoints.
Throughout this campaign, Volvo Car Malaysia is also offering everyone a chance to own exclusive Volvo merchandise such as watches, sunglasses, electric ride-on cars for children and more, at a special bundle price of RM1,957. There is a bundle deal for men, women and children, with each category consisting of specific lifestyle items. This is something new, every official brand merchandise is lumped together. Not often do you see car brands do this here.
Finally, in collaboration with Thule Malaysia, Volvo Car owners who present their car key when purchasing any Thule Crossover 2 luggage bags and backpacks will be given a Thule Subterra PowerShuttle Organiser worth RM119. Volvo car owners will also receive a 15% discount on all Thule items until the end of December 2020.
