Upcoming Events: PROTON Together with Karamjit Singh and James Veerapen to Offer Taxi-rides & More at the Malaysia Autoshow 2018

More on the Malaysia AutoShow 2018 that will be held on the 26th to the 29th of April 2018 at MAEPS, Serdang. PROTON will be putting on some activities to those who attend the Autoshow. They are roping in star drivers Karamjit Singh and James Veerapen to take those interested on taxi rides with them...high speed ones of course. The star drivers and joy rides are just part of the immersive experience that PROTON will offer at the show which also includes their efforts in motorsport, awarding gift vouchers and more.

As for the two drivers of the joyrides, as PROTON calls it, Karamjit Singh is a three-time Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) title winner and also won the 2002 Production Car World Championship (PWRC) title.  James Veerapen on the other hand has won multiple races including the recent 2017 Sepang 1000km (S1K) race. Of course, there is a catch to those who want to experience their driving. Visitors to the autoshow would either need to book a Proton car, buy merchandise or spare parts during the show to have an opportunity to experience some skillful driving. Faint hearted folks need not apply, but just buy a Proton car, merchandise or spare parts and let someone else try the joyride of course.

Aside from the joyride, those who book a new car at PROTON's dual-level display will be able to grab gift vouchers in a special game booth that can then actually be used towards the purchase of their new Proton.

PROTON Commerce also has a special deal where the first 100 customers who get their loans approved and loans disburse to PROTON, will be rewarded with RM300 worth of AEON vouchers. This will be on top of the current promotion of a free body kit and zero* % financing (*subject to terms and conditions) that is already being offered at all outlets.

Speaking of their dual-level display area at the upcoming autoshow, PROTON will also be showcasing their current line-up and a display of their efforts in motorsports. This offers motorsport enthusiasts a chance to get up close with PROTON's race cars. They will be showcasing their latest Proton Iriz rally car, which is making its Malaysian debut and has been developed to compete in regional and the World Rally Championship 2 (WRC2) series. They will also be displaying their track winning Proton Iriz built by PROTON R3 which goes to show that the Iriz is a versatile platform for various motorsports programmes.
