MBf Automobile Sdn Bhd Becomes A Naza Kia Dealer With Two New MBf Dealerships Coming in 2018 & 2019

The MBf Group has decided to make a comeback into the auto industry. They have chosen to work with Naza Kia Malaysia (NKM), the official distributor of KIA vehicles in Malaysia and become a Kia dealer with their first dealership opening by the third quarter of 2018 and a flagship store by mid-2019.

After being away for quite a while, MBf Group, via their subsidiary, MBf Automobile Sdn Bhd, entered into an agreement with Naza Kia Malaysia to become a Kia Dealer. The agreement was signed at the MAI Autoshow 2018. This new Kia dealership appointment is part of Naza Kia Malaysia’s push to increasing the Kia brand customer reach in Malaysia.

Representing Naza Kia Malaysia in this signing was Dato’ Samson Anand George, Group CEO, Automotive Group, Naza Corporation Holdings and  Daniel Choo, Group General Manager of MBf Automobile Sdn Bhd representing MBf Automobile. The last time MBf was seriously involved in the automotive industry was when they held the dealerships for Jeep and Peugeot more than a decade ago. They have now decided to pursue the field again but this time as a dealer for Kia.

MBf Automobile Sdn Bhd will set up its first Kia outlets incorporating Kia's latest corporate identity for its Kia Concept Stores. The first MBf Automobile dealership will be the 3S Kia City Concept Store Experiential Showroom which would give visitors a one-of-a-kind immersive experience at a state-of-the-art facility. This will be located at Menara MBf with MBf Automobile allocating RM5 million for the project. The location is strategic, right along the bustling Jalan Sultan Ismail and it is scheduled to be completed by mid-2019.

Aside from that, MBf Automobile Sdn Bhd will also be taking over an existing Kia outlet located at Jalan Maarof, Bangsar and invest RM1.5 million to revamp the premises into a Kia City Concept Store. That dealership will begin operations first by the third quarter of 2018. As a new dealer onboard, MBf Automobile Sdn Bhd expects to invest RM6.5 million in total for the two Kia outlets. This is quite a good start for a new dealership and more customer outreach within a short period.

“We are grateful for the immense support from our dealers over the last few decades and we welcome MBf Automobile Sdn Bhd to our existing network of dealers. This dealership reassures us of Kia’s growing presence in Malaysia and the confidence that dealers such as MBf Automobile Sdn Bhd place on us.” said Dato’ Samson Anand George, Group CEO, Automotive Group, Naza Corporation Holdings on their push to extend coverage of the Kia brand here in malaysia.

“This year, we plan to continue intensifying investments to further grow our network with five new outlets nationwide and expand customer touchpoints to ensure an extraordinary experience throughout the consumer journey,” added Dato’ Samson as Naza Kia Malaysia continues their push to improve consumer engagement using key elements of future design and technology in their dealerships.

Naza Kia Malaysia has 51 sales and service centres in the country  to date and have plans to open up new outlets nationwide in 2018 as well in the coming year. We can see progress being made in terms of sales and aftersales outlets for Kia here. This augurs well with those that are interested in the brand as personally, we do think that Kia vehicles offer a whole lot of car for one's money at the moment and more should be trying them out before making their car buying decision.
