Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur Launches The Aston Martin DB11 V8 & The New Aston Martin Service Centre Located In Sg Buloh, Selangor

Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur has officially launched Aston Martin DB11 V8. The new grand tourer is now offered aside the DB11 V12 variant and offers a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 version instead. Still as stunning as ever it will allow the proposition of DB11 ownership for around RM1.8 million (after taxes & duties, GST but without insurance) instead of a little bit higher than before. Of course, if you must ask the price in the first place...

The V8-engined DB11 was designed to be more accessible to customers around the world, while still sprinkled with the performance and character that makes an Aston Martin, well, an Aston Martin. Their cars are a slightly different breed in terms of high performance luxury cars, sleek and low slung but not loud and shouty. With the exception of their famous bark from the exhausts of course.

You could say that it would make sense for a British secret agent to be seen using one as it doesn't stick out too much like other luxury marques when one drives it through the streets of Kuala Lumpur. It still is stunning nonetheless, and one has to also praise what the current owners of the brand have done even though they are independent manufacturers unlike many other luxury brands today.

The Aston Martin DB11 V8 has a smaller 4.0liter V8 Bi-turbo engine which makes 503bhp and 675Nm of torque. It allows 0-100km/h in just 4.0 seconds and a maximum speed of 301kmh. Those who are unaware, this engine actually comes from the Mercedes-AMG factory and is specially tuned to suit Aston Martin. Of course, having another premium maker of bullet-proof high performance engines and vehicles to produce one's engines is a cost effective way for a small premium and almost bespoke sports car manufacturer to keep on making interesting products. The DB11 V8 sounds throaty and most importantly, like an Aston Martin should be - like how a God would gargle.

“We are thrilled to officially unveil the V8-powered DB11 in Kuala Lumpur. We expect sustained interest and continuing growth in demand for DB11, spearheaded by the arrival of the V8-powered model.” said Ms. Nancy Chen, Head of Sales Operations for Aston Martin, Southeast Asia.

So far, 2 units of the V8 have been booked and this silver one you see here is one of them.

Aside from the launch of the gorgeous DB11, Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur also announced the opening of  the new Aston Martin Service Centre by Wearnes Quest (who as Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur are the official distributors of Aston Martin in Malaysia). The RM2.4 million service centre is located in Lingui Industrial Park, Sungai Buloh. It features a fully air-conditioned 4,000 square feet of space, which includes 3 work-bays and 1 diagnostic bay. It looks like the people and the cars would be worked on in total comfort by the looks of it.

Equipped with the latest tools, technology and equipment as well as being managed by professionally trained service personnel, Aston Martin's current and future customers in Malaysia are assured that the distributors here are committed to deliver unparalleled British standards of excellence. More peace of mind and by the looks of it, a very stylish addition to the local Aston Martin ownership experience. This includes the added benefit of Singapore owners who occasionally drive up to Malaysia. They can now tend to their cars in comfort should the need occur.

The Aston Martin Service Centre is located at Lingui Industrial Park, 15 ½ Miles, Sungai Pelong, 47000 Sungai Buloh, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia.

The V8-Powered DB11 will be available for viewing in the showroom. For viewing appointment, please call +60 3 2163 1196 or visit www.astonmartinkualalumpur.com.
