PROTON OFFERS A PRICE REBATE FOR THE PROTON IRIZ SPECIALLY FOR RIDE-SHARING DRIVERS

Good news! A rebate of RM4000 will be provided for individuals who purchase the Proton Iriz as part of their plans to become ride-sharing drivers, like those GrabCar and Uber type services. This is in line with what was announced in the recent 2017 budget tabled recently.

The Proton Iriz hatchback is priced from RM41,520 for a 1.3 standard, solid coloured, manual transmission variant to the RM62,480.00 top specced 1.6 Cvt Premium. The RM44,450 1.3 CVT standard in solid colour seems to be a good bet if you do not want to shift yourself and want to drive people around. With that rebate, it would just be slightly over RM40K. Whilst the Iriz does have its flaws, at this low price and the fact that you can generate income for yourselves I would overlook most of the flaws.

Now Proton has joined the bandwagon and is basically assisting anyone who wishes to be a ride-sharing driver with this rebate. Proton gains by being able to sell its Iriz hatchback stocks and the people interested in offering ride-sharing services get to buy a brand new car that isn't a tiny city car at around or even under RM40,000 (its a supermini sized hatchback - B segment, which means it isn't a tiny little city car).

If you know anyone who is a renting a taxi from those taxi companies you can tell them to stop doing so and try get an Iriz for cheap. Cut out the middle man who makes free money from the taxi drivers. Note that a RM46,000 Proton Persona SV (not the latest Persona) would total over RM100,000 after the daily rental is settled. This is another nail in those rent seeking companies who only know how to milk its drivers.
