SOCAR, The Car-Sharing Service Adds 50 Volkswagen Polo 1.6 To Service The Klang Valley


A fleet of 50 Volkswagen Polo 1.6 will be made available to the general public under SOCAR, the car-sharing service where people can use several types of cars via a smartphone application. These will be in use in and around the Klang Valley at the moment and is another form of ride-sharing. This time, you actually rent the whole car and drive it yourselves rather than the Grab, or Uber (now defunct in Malaysia) where you get someone and his car to drive you anywhere you want to go.

Quick Ride partners Uber and Proton to provide cars for ride sharing to Malaysians - Targeted to those that are currently unemployed



Quick Ride Sdn Bhd has partnered with ride sharing company Uber and national car manufacturer Proton in providing car sharing/riding solutions through its daily leasing plan and In-Car-Advertising. Leveraging modern technology, Quick Ride Sdn Bhd will be offering a WIFI enabled environment, Interactive Media and Geo Tracking system in all the Proton cars that they will offer to interested Malaysians to want to try out being Uber drivers.

PROTON OFFERS A PRICE REBATE FOR THE PROTON IRIZ SPECIALLY FOR RIDE-SHARING DRIVERS

Good news! A rebate of RM4000 will be provided for individuals who purchase the Proton Iriz as part of their plans to become ride-sharing drivers, like those GrabCar and Uber type services. This is in line with what was announced in the recent 2017 budget tabled recently.

Volkswagen's 'Polo Goes Zero' promotion for Uber Partners in Malaysia

This is something Malaysian Uber Partners (i.e Drivers) to upgrade (or you may never know, downgrade) their rides into the Volkswagen Polo 1.6 Hatch and Polo Sedan at zero percent (0%) intrest and zero (0) downpayment for a total of seven years via Volkswagen Malaysia's 'Polo Goes Zero' Campaign.
