Yesterday, smart Malaysia officially revealed the range topper of its smart #1 lineup, the the #! BRABUS variant, at the International Electric Mobility Showcase (IEMS) held at KLCC Convention Centre in downtown Kuala Lumpur. This is a collaboration between smart and and German tuning house BRABUS which takes the smart #1 Premium variant and adds some BRABUS performance bits to it and a twin electric motor performance powerplant, or powerplants since there are now two electric motors.

On the 27th September 2023, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia had announced the graduation of 38 apprentices from its Advanced Modern Apprenticeship (AMA) Program. Aside from this news where there are now 38 more certified technicians in Malaysia, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia had welcomed 42 apprentices for the year 2023. This is part of the brand's continuous development of human capital here in Malaysia.
Over the past three years, the graduating batch of 38 apprentices had undergone rigorous training, culminating in their certification as globally-recognised Mercedes-Benz technicians. These newly graduated professionals are set to join the Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Retail Network, which currently has over 1,000 Service Personnel. In addition, they will be offered job opportunities within the company;s Service Network for the subsequent four years. The investment per student over the three-year program is RM100,000.

Today, I took some time off my somewhat surprisingly busy schedule (especially since I have been slowly easing into semi-retirement from the looks of it) and spent a few hours with BMW Group Malaysia over at their latest roadshow in front of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in KLCC. There, the new BMW i7 limousine takes center stage and a showcase of this EV variant of the latest 7 series that is on sale. Recently launched, but now BMW Malaysia puts it in the limelight after just launching it with some of the media folk getting test drives. They also announced that in terms of the total BMW Group Malaysia, they seem to have taken lead in the Premium EV Segment amidst outstanding EV deliveries to date, for the year 2023.
At the presentation of Malaysia cultural handicraft to national athletes for them to present to the Asian Games Museum in Hangzou, China during the upcoming 19th Asian Games, the CEO of Proton, Dr Li Chunrong, had announced that the company will be launching a new sedan within the next couple of months as well as announcing that their Electric Vehicle will also be launched soon after that. Fingers crossed it happens as scheduled!

Automobili Lamborghini has launched the new Lamborghini Revuelto, the first super sports V12 hybrid plug-in HPEV (which is Lamborghini's short form for High-Performance Electrified Vehicle), in Malaysia.
