smart Malaysia finally announces the official pricing at the launch of the smart #3. The battery powered electric crossover, was launched during its First-Ever smart Tour brand roadshow held at Pavilion Bukit Jalil on the 10th of July 2024.The smart looking smart #3 was first unveiled in Malaysia at the recent Malaysia Autoshow 2024 and will be priced from RM175,000 onwards before insurance. There are three variants from the base #3 Pro to the #3 BRABUS at RM255,000.

Today, the 21st November 2023  marks  the official launch and price announcement of the smart #1 SUV/Crossover here in Malaysia. This comes after many days of teasers, previews and so on. The brand's first offering was launched by Yang Mulia Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry at an event attended by Tan Sri Syed Faisal Albar, Chairman of PROTON, YBhg. Dato' Hairil Yahri Yaacob, Secretary General of MITI, Tong Xiangbei, Global CEO of smart Automobile, Dr. Li Chunrong, Chief Executive Officer of PROTON, En Roslan Abdullah, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of PROTON, and Mr. Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of PRO-NET as well as many other guests.

Here is our preview and first opinion on the soon to be launched in Malaysian 2024 smart #1 BRABUS variant. This is built on the smart #1 Premium variant and adds twin electric motors to give it supercar levels of acceleration 0-100kmh in 3.9seconds. This is our second meeting with this crossover EV. The first was at the Proton Test Track in Shah Alam when it was all stickered up. So we got to drive it then but could not film or take photos of it.

smart #1 BRABUS Makes Its First Public Debut in Southeast Asia at the International Electric Mobility Showcase, Kuala Lumpur

Yesterday, smart Malaysia officially revealed the range topper of its smart #1 lineup, the the #! BRABUS variant, at the International Electric Mobility Showcase (IEMS) held at KLCC Convention Centre in downtown Kuala Lumpur. This is a collaboration between smart and and German tuning house BRABUS which takes the smart #1 Premium variant and adds some BRABUS performance bits to it and a twin electric motor performance powerplant, or powerplants since there are now two electric motors.

BRABUS Tuning for the W205 Mercedes Benz C-class without sport package

BRABUS  W205 without sport package. I wonder what that means. I am guessing it is for a normal C-class that comes without the AMG sport package that has the 'A' shaped bumper beneath the grille and more aggressive AMG designed bodykit. BRABUS takes the basic W205 C-class and adds their own sport bodykit to it making it a BRABUSified, if there is such a word, W205 C-class.
