Yesterday, the 12^th of January 2024 Modenas, the national motorcycle manufacturer launched the Taiwanese designed and built KYMCO AK550 Premium scooter. The introduction of the CBU (fully imported) AK550 Premium to the Malaysian market is not just a product launch but the culmination of the strategic agreement made in 2016 where Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd (EMOS) was officially appointed as the exclusive distributor of Kymco products, here in Malaysia.

Pos Malaysia takes delivery of 50 MEV-1 electric motorcycles from MODENAS, AVIS & DRB-HICOM Ez Drive

 Pos Malaysia Berhad (“Pos Malaysia” or “the Group”), the national post and parcel service provider recently received 50 electric motorcycles that will be used by their postmen to deliver mail. This is another step (in terms of logistics) on their journey to be net zero in terms of emissions by 2050. They took delivery of the bikes from Motosikal Dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (“MODENAS”), the assembler of MEV-1, and DRB-HICOM EZ-Drive Sdn Bhd (“AVIS”), the leasing provider of the MEV-1 programme.

This is one unique looking scooter!  BMW Motorrad Malaysia today announced the arrival of the New  BMW CE 04 electric scooter. This is the first fully electric scooter in its local Urban Mobility portfolio and this is how the brand wants to showcase their electrification ambitions for not only the passenger car segment but the two-wheel landscape in Malaysia. This unique, boxy electric scooter was previewed at BMW Group Malaysia's preview of the facelifted BMW 3 Series and their 2022 performance report. No solid pricing as yet, but they are expecting somewhere in the RM60K region.

Today, the12 th October 2022,  Blueshark, which is a leading smart electric scooter provider, together with EP Manufacturing Berhad (EPMB), announced a multi-stakeholder partnership with several local industry players, including Blueshark Ecosystem Sdn Bhd and the Malaysian Green Technology & Climate Change Corporation (MGTC) as part of its market introduction in Malaysia. This joint venture will produce Electric Scooters, create jobs from producing the environmentally friendly scooters, maintaining them and the supporting infrastructure required for them.
