Aveta Powers Up Adventure Range here by launching the VTM 250 Dual-Purpose Enduro and Supermoto Models

 

Earlier today, Aveta Global Marketing Sdn Bhd, the manufacturer, assembler and distributor of Aveta motorcycles in Malaysia, officially launched the VTM 250 dual-purpose model, which is another exciting addition to its affordable and good looking adventure bike range.

 

The Aveta VTM 250 will be available in two variants, which will cater to different target groups. The LX variant, available by the end of October, 2024 is designed for enduro enthusiasts who are ready to explore various trails and terrains. In December, the M variant will hit the market, serving as a stylish, fun, and practical daily commuter. It is specified as an affordable entry into the world of supermoto and more capable for the urban jungle than the more focused LX.

Motorcycles - Harley-Davidson unveils online some of its 2024 motorcycle lineup with more to come

Yesterday, Harley-Davidson revealed on their official website, H-D.com some of their 2024 motorcycle lineup and announced that these bikes are now available through authorized Harley-Davidson dealerships globally, with additional new motorcycle models to be unveiled soon. Furthermore, the limited-production 2024 models from Harley-Davidson® Custom Vehicle OperationsTM (CVOTM) and more new Harley-Davidson motorcycle models will be revealed with a special launch film, “American Dreamin’”, on H-D.com at 12AM SGT on January 25 (GMT +8) 2024. This is a separate and specially created website from the usual harley-davidson.com website.

Pos Malaysia takes delivery of 50 MEV-1 electric motorcycles from MODENAS, AVIS & DRB-HICOM Ez Drive

 Pos Malaysia Berhad (“Pos Malaysia” or “the Group”), the national post and parcel service provider recently received 50 electric motorcycles that will be used by their postmen to deliver mail. This is another step (in terms of logistics) on their journey to be net zero in terms of emissions by 2050. They took delivery of the bikes from Motosikal Dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (“MODENAS”), the assembler of MEV-1, and DRB-HICOM EZ-Drive Sdn Bhd (“AVIS”), the leasing provider of the MEV-1 programme.

Yesterday, I was able to attend Zontes Distribution Sdn Bhd's launch of their new 350 Series Scooters. Zontes Distribution is part of Eurotech Wheel Distribution Sdn Bhd, the official importer and distributor of Zontes motorcycles in Malaysia and wants to stir up the pot for the larger engined scooter category. The new 350 Series scooter is packed with technology and a host of premium features normally found on higher capacity motorcycles sold in 2023, and yet comes with some very competitive pricing.

The new BMW S 1000 RR is the company's 3rd generation S 1000 series of superbike. The R 1250 R  roadster or naked styled bike and the more sleek looking R 1250 RS are street bikes which cater to the more relaxed rider but who still likes the taste of refined motorcycling.

Pulsar Dareventure powered by MODENAS has a Winner who takes home RM5,000 Cash and a Brand New Modenas Pulsar NS200

The Pulsar Dareventure powered by MODENAS has officially come to a close and the winner announced . This is the first motorcycle reality show in Malaysia and  it was based on Pulsar Dareventure series previously held in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Peru. The Malaysian edition was was the first in South East Asia. The YouTube based series showcased contestants competing for the grand prize of RM5,000 cash and a brand-new Modenas Pulsar NS200.

Earlier this evening, Triumph Motorcycles Malaysia decided to launch five new 2019 models for the Malaysian market at a special event that saw the four of the motorcycles ‘unboxed’ in front of the media and invited guests. The 2019 Triumph `Modern Classics’ are the new Street Twin, Street Scrambler, Scrambler XC, Scrambler XE and Speed Twin are priced from RM55,900, RM64,900, RM80,900, RM86,900 and RM73,900 respectively. All prices quoted are inclusive of 10% sales and service tax.

The authorised distributor for Ducati motorcycles in Malaysia, Next Bike Sdn Bhd (a company under the Naza Group), launched the Ducati Scrambler 1100 at the 7th Annual Art Of Speed held at MAEPS, Serdang on Saturday, 28th July 2018. The  Ducati Scrambler 1100 Special and Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport are the two variants available for Malaysia and are priced from RM83,000 and RM85,000 onwards (without GST, OTR without insurance) respectively.

BMW Motorrad Malaysia via their authorised dealers, Millennium Welt, had recently officially opened the first-ever BMW Motorrad showroom in Seremban.  Millennium Welt are dealers of BMW and MINI cars in Seremban, Batu Pahat and in Kuantan. Now, the group has decided to expand their BMW operations to include or simply put, BMW motorcycles in Seremban. Road Safety: ASEAN NCAP Performs Development Test for Blind Spot Technology in Line With ASEAN NCAP 2017-2020 Protocol to Reduce Motorcycle Related Deaths

I managed to attend an event organised by The New Car Assessment Programme for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) last week. It was the inaugural  Blind Spot Technology Development Test on cars that are currently on sale or available in the our market. According to ASEAN NCAP, which is an agency under MIROS (Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research,) the main objective of the test is to improve their capability in performing such a test in accordance with the ASEAN NCAP 2017-2020 protocol, which is where active technology is to be included under the Safety Assist domain in order to reduce motorcyclist fatalities which have the highest road fatalities in the ASEAN region.
