Lexus Malaysia Is Now Accepting Bookings For The Lexus NX300 and The Lexus RX350L

Lexus Malaysia has announced that all authorised Lexus Centres across Malaysia are now accepting orders for the 2018 Lexus NX300 and 2018 Lexus RX350L. These are Lexus' luxury crossovers and will be launched here very soon with one fully specced variant of the larger RX350L and four variants of the smaller NX300 SUVs. Those of you who cannot wait and wish to be among the first to own these new crossovers/SUVs can now place your orders.

The Lexus RX 350L (on top & above) will be priced at RM475,000 and had its official unveiling last year at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the RX 350L was unveiled at last year's Los Angeles Auto Show. It will offer a great deal for a luxury SUV. It is now offered with a third row and can therefore seat up to seven passengers without compromising on its class-leading cargo room. The C-Pillar is also pretty unique as you can see above.

This is quite a unique feature for a luxury SUV in the Malaysian market due to its seating arrangement.  The seats are fixed with a 40/20/40 split bench-type along with a longer and slightly higher stadium type rear seats to accommodate passengers in the third row.

The RX 350L is powered with a 3.5litre V6 engine that delivers 294hp coupled to an 8-speed Electronically Controlled Transmission with intelligence (ECT-i). It has Lexus’ Active Torque Control AWD system to vary torque distribution anywhere from 100:0 to 50:50 front to rear, depending on driving dynamics and road conditions.

As for the Lexus NX 300, this smaller, luxury compact SUV / crossover was unveiled at last year’s Shanghai Motor Show. It is a refresh of the crossover that was launched in 2014. A facelift but quite an extensive one at that.

The entire front fascia of the new NX has been refreshed, with the upper portion of the grille and the front bumpers redesigned to give the car a sleeker overall shape and better aerodynamics. The rear end gets a different rear bumper cover now incorporating elements of the grille’s spindle motif. But at the rear.

The NX 300 gets a powerful yet fuel-efficient turbocharged 2.0-liter engine which makes 235hp. The hybrid variant which is the top of the range model gets a larger 2.5-liter inline-4 combined with a pair of electric motors. More performance and even more fuel efficiency if you drive properly.

As stated above, the Lexus NX is priced from RM311,900 onwards and comes in four variants for the Malaysian market – Urban, Premium, F SPORT and Hybrid.

Lexus are really pushing the frontiers of design with the NX300 and the RX350L also (Ed- The RX front end looks like a Battlestar Galactica Cylon Trooper - see above). Very forward fashion in terms of design. They are aiming for a part of the market segment that likes a more futuristic twang to things. It also looks like the spindle grill has now evolved slightly and seems to be better suited to the cars these days too.

The 2018 Lexus RX 350L and NX 300 come with a comprehensive warranty of five (5) years covering unlimited mileage. Complete aftersales support is available at seven (7) locations across Malaysia, where professional technicians with extensive training by Lexus are ready to serve. As Lexus is Toyota's luxury brand, one should get the same levels of reliability with a whole lot more style, class and substance.

The 2018 RX 350L and the four new variants of the NX 300 are scheduled to arrive in early February 2018 and are fully imported from Japan.
