The Volkswagen “Polo P” Driver's Ed Programme for College Students Continues with New Venues at Selected Campuses Throughout Malaysia

In case any of you have forgotten Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) is continuing its popular “Polo P” project with new venues for participants in Klang Valley, and the northern and southern region of Peninsular Malaysia.  The “Polo P” project was developed with the mission to educate and empower new drivers with the skills and knowledge to stay safe on the roads. Launched in March this year, the program had already garnered over 250 participants to-date, consisting of students from private tertiary institutions and young adults around Klang Valley. Education on how to drive properly is good. Very good.

The “Polo P” project takes place at selected college and university campuses over the course of a weekend. Participants are taught basic car maintenance, visual checkpoints, proper sitting and steering positions, and defensive driving which includes emergency braking, and a slalom course. All driving exercises are conducted in the Volkswagen Polo 1.6L hatchback – might be small in stature, but is certainly big on fun.

Upcoming location and dates are listed below:
Date                              Location
8 & 9 July                 Taylor’s Lakeside Campus, KL
19 & 20 Aug         Sunway College, Johor Bahru
30 Sep & 1 Oct         University Malaya, KL
21 & 22 Oct         UiTM, Shah Alam
28 & 29 Oct         UTAR Campus, Kampar, Perak

The “Polo P” project is open to all students with a valid driver’s license, as well members of the public. To sign up, visit www.volkswagen.com.my or send a private message on Volkswagen’s Facebook page.

If you are a student at any of the institutes of higher learning mentioned above, you should register and go for this. Where else can you get the chance to drive around and receive training in a European designed car that is actually fun to drive?

And in line with the “Polo P” project - Volkswagen is running a special “My First Polo” program for first time car buyers - where interested participants can purchase a Volkswagen Polo 1.6L from RM470* a month with Volkswagen’s leading partnering bank. This is something that you should ask your daddy or mummy if you want to buy your first European car (that won't break the bank).

Aside from the Polo hatchback, VPCM had also recently launched the Polo ALLSTAR. Priced from RM72,888, the Polo ALLSTAR is packed with sporty exclusive accessories worth RM6,000 such as leather seats, aluminium pedals, rear spoiler, black door strips, ‘ALLSTAR’ scuff plates, emblems and carpet mats. The Polo ALLSTAR is available in Carbon Steel Grey, Reflex Silver, Candy White and Flash Red.
