The facelifted and upgraded Isuzu Mu-X was launched at the History Convention 2017 (History Con 2017) on Friday, 3rd of August 2017. It is actually quite an event for the motorhead. There are a lot of automotive related displays and even celebrity guests who have automotive related shows on the History Channel. Which is what the event was all about. HISTORY Con 2017, is an entertainement convention linked to the History Channel and it launches for the first time in Malaysia at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) in Selangor from 4th to 6th August 2017. You can still catch it and this is why I am writing about it.

The Facelifted Isuzu Mu-X has been launched - Prices start from RM176,640.40

Isuzu has brought in the facelifted Mu-X to Malaysia. The newly upgraded seven seater SUV was unveiled earlier today at the Isuzu sponsored inaugural History Convention 2017 (the folks at the History Channel) at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park (MAEPS) in Serdang.

Costa Coffee is now available at selected Shell Select stations. The brand, which is from the United Kingdom, is the second largest coffee brand in the world has tied up with Shell and launched its self-serve offering at Shell Select stations nationwide. This comes after a successful trial run at several outlets and now, Costa Coffee will be sold at over 200 Shell Select outlets nationwide with many more to come.

Yup. I've never heard of buying a car this way here in Malaysia to date. It is the first.

J.D. Power Customer Satisfaction Index for Mass Market Cars 2017 - Toyota is champion, Mitsubishi second and Mazda third, and Honda comes in last!

Okayyyyyyy.. J.D. Power, the well known impartial organisation that conduct customer satisfaction surveys have announced that Toyota is the best in customer service satisfaction for the second year running! This is followed by Mitsubishi and then Mazda with Honda, yes, Honda coming in last among the non-premium mass market passenger car makers in Malaysia. Congratulations is in order to all of the three for making their customers feel like the are very appreciated. Aside from that, let me just state again that Honda has come in last. Even Volkswagen is up by a whole lot from 2016.

Truck News: Volvo Trucks Malaysia Annual Fuelwatch Challenge is Back for the 8th time - Drivers, get ready for more efficient driving!

It's that time of the year again where I type out the words..."it's that time of the year again" or something along those lines as Volvo Trucks Malaysia returns with another installment of their annual Fuelwatch Challenge, Malaysian edition. This time, seven Malaysian truck drivers will get a chance to compete in the Volvo Fuelwatch Challenge Malaysia finals, where the winner will then get a chance to participate in the Drivers Fuel Challenge - World Final in Sweden later in the year.

Audi Malaysia brings in the Audi A6 2.0 TFSI Quattro and the Audi A7 Sportback 2.0 TFSI Quattro

Audi Malaysia has now brought in the Audi A6 2.0 TFSI quattro and the Audi A7 Sportback 2.0 TFSI quattro to the country. The all-wheel-drive Quattro models, especially the A6 2.0 TFSI quattro fill in a gap in their respective local line-up - the A6 2.0 TFSI quattro sits between the A6 1.8 TFSI and the local range topper, the A6 3.0 TFSI quattro. The A7 Sportback 2.0 TFSI quattro now makes the Sportback proposition more affordable as previously only the 3.0 TFSI quattro variant was available here.

The Motoring-Malaysia Shorty - 2017 C238 Mercedes-Benz E300 Coupe AMG Line

The coupe, which goes by the internal codename C238 is the latest in a long line of Mercedes-Benz mid-sized coupes which features sleek lines and that iconic frameless B-pillar design which allows an unbroken line from the frontal A-pillars to the rear C-pillars. The car it one which is full of heritage and one many Mercedes-Benz enthusiast covet. Two variants are brought into Malaysia - the E200 Coupe AMG Line and the E300 Coupe AMG Line.

Sometime last week I attended an event hosted by G Guard Malaysia. G Guard Hi-Tech Auto Detailing Centre is a auto detailing brand from Japan. From what I heard, G Guard was first established over in Japan sometime in 1994 and today there are more than 40 outlets throughout Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Bangkok, Singapore, Korea and China. Ten Malaysians to duke it out in the upcoming MediaCorp Subaru Car Challenge 2017 for a chance to win a Subaru XV 2.0i-P

The Subaru Palm Challenge 2017 - Malaysia Face-Off took place over the past weekend at the Piazza, over at The Curve, Mutiara Damansara. After 8 hours and 9 minutes, there were 10 Malaysians that had managed to outlast other hopefuls through pure determination, and qualify for the MediaCorp Subaru Car Challenge 2017 – The Asian Face-Off in Singapore on the 28 – 31 October 2017. A Subaru XV 2.0i-P is awaiting the overall winner.

The Malaysian hopefuls will face 390 contestants from all over the Asian region. All want a chance at bringing home a brand new Subaru XV 2.0i-P. It may take days before a victor is declared as these are now regional winners and they can carry on keeping their palms on a Subaru for at least 8 hours minimum.

Truck News: ISUZU Malaysia together with Sri Hoong Huat Auto Trading donate a complete Isuzu N-Series 5,000kg Truck to the Malaysian Red Crescent Society

Isuzu Malaysia had recently handed over an Isuzu N-Series 5,000kg truck to the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) or the Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah for their use especially in the state of Pahang. The truck was presentedto the MRCS in a small ceremony where the CEO of Isuzu Malaysia Kenji Matsuoka who presented the mock key to Dato’ Hj Ismail Bin Hj Mat Noor, MRCS Chairman Pahang.
