HISTORY CON® REGIONAL BRANDED EXPERIENCE LAUNCHES INAUGURAL MALAYSIAN HISTORY CONVENTION 2017 - LOTS OF NICE CARS & BIKES THERE!
The facelifted and upgraded Isuzu Mu-X was launched at the History Convention 2017 (History Con 2017) on Friday, 3rd of August 2017. It is actually quite an event for the motorhead. There are a lot of automotive related displays and even celebrity guests who have automotive related shows on the History Channel. Which is what the event was all about. HISTORY Con 2017, is an entertainement convention linked to the History Channel and it launches for the first time in Malaysia at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) in Selangor from 4th to 6th August 2017. You can still catch it and this is why I am writing about it.
The event was officiated by the Deputy Minister of Education, YB Dato’ P. Kamalanathan s/o P. Panchanathan, together with the Deputy Managing Director of A+E Networks Asia, Prem Kamath. Notable personalites from the History Channel include Michael Henry aka Horny Mike Henry from History Channel’s Counting Cars cast, Jaime Dempsey from Ride N’ Seek. Non automotive related celebs present at the official launch included Justin Mott (Photo Face-off), Malaysian comedian Harith Iskander (who participated in Celebrity Car Wars), Matt Preston (MasterChef Australia judge) and local favourite, Jasbir Kaur (MasterChef Asia finalist).
Special highlights worth mentioning include the automotive display of cars and motorbikes. You can get to see celebrities in action at the legendary motorcade rally with Jaime Dempsey and hands-on ‘live’ car airbrushing showcase by “Horny” Mike Henry. Malaysian rally car legend, Karamjit Singh will also be around to present a rush rally car stunt show where he will also invite a member of the audience on the challenge to ride as his passenger in the breakthrough performance.
Other noteworthy mentions include cooking demonstrations by the MasterChef Austalia and MasterChef Asia celebs, photography masterclass sessions and other stuff related to the programmes on History Channel.
But some of the modern and classic cars on display are mind blowing. Go have a look. The History Con 2017 is on till this sunday.
