Century Motolite Battery Sdn Bhd or Century Battery have been in the vehicle battery business for as long as I can remember. For over 50 years they have been selling batteries throughout Malaysia. Their current crop of batteries include the maintenance free Century Ultramax, Century SDFC (for continental makes of cars), Century Marathoner (which they improved in May 2016), Hybrid and also the Century LM low maintenance battery. They even have a battery assist service for the greater Klang Valley area if any motorist requires an immediate battery change (for the agreed price of course). Anyway, Century Battery have just announced that they are the first company in Malaysia to have a battery warranty service centre.
The Century Battery Warranty Centre is located 26/1 Lebuhraya Persekutuan, 47301, Petaling Jaya. The purpose of this centre is to provide better services to its customers. Whilst the reliability of Century Battery products are very high, battery warranty issues do occasionally arise and so this centre allows customers to easily deal directly with Century Batteries rather than through their dealers. So customers are assured of prompt and better attention as regards their warranty claim. Century Batteries have a 12 month warranty except for the Ultramax which has a 21 month warranty (terms & conditions obviously applies)
Aside from that, the centre also provides services that deals with vehicle batteries. There are free battery and charging system checking for anyone who walks in (drives in actually), free jump start services (within the vicinity, not limited to Century customers) and the centre also provides the Century Battery Assist on-site-service with minimal charges to cover the travelling costs. However, if the customer purchases a new battery from us, these charges will be waived.
The centre is open from 10am – 6pm (Monday – Friday) and 10am – 3pm (Saturday). Do contact their service centre’s hotline at 1800 88 4100 if you want more info.

Know your Car Battery, Battery Warranty Centre & SMS Contest

Make sure the battery dimension and capacity match your vehicle’s make, model and engine type. There are
two ways a battery’s capacity is rated – cold cranking amps (CCA) and amp-hour (AH). In cold climate conditions, cold cranking amps (CCA) is used to measure a battery’s current output. However, in warm
weather conditions and on tropical roads the amp hour (AH) rating applies. Century Batteries manufactured
for Malaysian roads are typically AH rated.
Finally, check the battery for its Reserve Capacity (RC). The higher the rating, the longer a fully charged battery can power on should the vehicle’s alternator fail. Century batteries are normally 12-volt standard rated for most vehicles.

According to Century Battery General Manager Mr. Suresh Nanoo, this new facility is a timely step in the right direction. “Marketers and retailers talk about branding being a relationship-building exercise. Well, this is how we walk the talk and differentiate ourselves,” said Mr Nanoo.
“Because the batteries our customers purchase are important to them, we want them to know that our service to them and for them is equally important to us. Hence the Warranty Service Centre,” he added.
