New video alert! This is our impressions and opinions after Proton allowed us a go with the upcoming (as at upload) 2025 2026 Proton e.MAS 5 battery electric vehicle (BEV). Do note that the test drive was under strict embargo rules so they unfortunately had a non stickered eMAS 5 out beside the stickered one and only allowed us to show the stickered one. It made footage hard. So you will only see me babbling on about the car. But if you want to know my opinion, this is it.

This is based on the Geely Star Wish and it set to be priced between 60k - 80k Malaysian Ringgit.

This is our test of the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe 1.6 Turbo Hybrid Max Facelift (Yes, we are still getting the 4th generation variant here in Malaysia). One of the two petrol variants (this is the higher variant) out of three variants offered in Malaysia. The other is the 2.2 turbodiesel.

DENZA, a premium sub brand of BYD, officially entered the Malaysian automotive market earlier today with the launch of its flagship model, the DENZA D9. With the tagline, "Redefining Sophistication," Denza claims that it redefines luxury in modern mobility by combining elegant design, innovative technology, and sustainable performance. Expanding to a new premium segment for BYD, they aim to deliver an exceptional driving experience with Denza, demonstrating the company's commitment to continuous innovation and greener mobility to meet the needs of a diverse market in Malaysia. This is actually quite an important move, as this sits as a competitor to the basically monopoly that the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire MPVs here have when it comes to a premium MPV.

OMODA Partners with Universal Pictures’, Wicked - Unveiling Magical Journeys Wicked is now screening in cinemas nationwide

OMODA, a brand under Chery, has announced a collaboration with Universal Pictures in celebration of the studio’s  new cinematic event, Wicked. These art wraps feature the characters of Elphaba and Glinda on each of the respective vehicles, Who these characters are, I personally don't know as I usually watch people with laser guns, guns, spaceships or action heroes blow things up. But if you are a fan of musicals and all things magical, Wicked is for you. The cars however, I can drive to and from magical places (if you're one of those fellas that think a nice B-road is magical then you're like me).

Earlier today, I attended the launch of Stellantis' Leapmotor brand here in Malaysia. Stellantis Malaysia had launched its first new energy brand, Leapmotor with its first global product, the all-new electric C10 SUV at the Exchange Mall in TRX Kuala Lumpur. This launch is a milestone for Leapmotor International, which is a 51:49 joint venture between Stellantis and Leapmotor of China and one that is focused on growing global sales of high-tech, cost-efficient Chinese new energy vehicles (NEVs) outside of Greater China.

Today is a Sunday, and WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd (WTCA), a subsidiary of Warisan TC Holdings Bhd, has officially unveiled two new GAC GS3 EMZOOM compact SUV variants to its line-up in Malaysia. The range-topping 2024 GAC GS3 EMZOOM Premium R is now joined by the GS3 EMZOOM Standard and GS3 EMZOOM Exclusive, bringing WTCA’s localisation project of the B-segment SUV to completion following its initial introduction as a CBU model in Malaysia back in April 2024.

This was quite a fast track project actually, from the talks to the actual assembly only took somewhere around three years. This allows us to have another new brand for us Malaysians to go look out for when searching for a compact SUV. Prices now start at RM103,800 for the Standard, to RM116,800 for the Exclusive and on to the range topping Premium R at RM119,800 (all On The Road without insurance for Peninsular Malaysia only). HINO and Daihatsu Malaysia jointly celebrate a successful vehicle handover and customer appreciation in Ipoh

  

Recently, Daihatsu (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (DMSB), who are also an authorized 3S dealer for Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (HMSM) here had successfully hosted the Customer Appreciation Day and Hino Vehicle Handover Ceremony at their Ipoh branch located along Jalan Kuala Kangsar. Yesterday, Monday, the 23rd of September 2024, PROTON, together with their technology partner, Geely, hosted a Driving Impression event for members of the media and other guests of which the 2025 Geely E5 battery EV was the subject matter, at the PROTON Test Track. The event provided an opportunity for us to experience the left-hand drive variant of the very recently launched Geely E5, which is the development sibling of the upcoming right hand drive Proton e.MAS 7. JAECOO Malaysia previews the upcoming 2025 OMODA C9 SUV - Coupe SUV styling, a very premium feeling cabin and a 2.0liter turbocharged 2wd or AWD variants estimated to be under RM200K, it is incredible

 

JAECOO Malaysia has just previewed the OMODA C9 (C9) SUV. This very premium looking and feeling SUV is planned to be launched in December of this year, and after looking at it at the preview today, this C9 should shake-up the D-segment SUV market with its engine performance, safety technology, creature comforts and signature competitive pricing strategy. JAECOO Malaysia aim to price even the full spec C9 under RM200,000, and I believe, many other brands that have a D segment SUV in and around the RM150,000 to RM225,000 price range will be sweating a little.
