OMODA, a brand under Chery, has announced a collaboration with Universal Pictures in celebration of the studio’s new cinematic event, Wicked. OMODA and Universal Pictures are embarking on a journey into magical worlds. Based on the generation-defining, blockbuster stage musical, Wicked is the untold story of the witches of Oz.
In this collaboration, OMODA has specially created two car wraps themed to the film: the OMODA E5 Green Witch edition and the OMODA 5 Pink Witch edition. These art wraps feature the characters of Elphaba and Glinda on each of the respective vehicles, Who these characters are, I personally don't know as I usually watch people with laser guns, guns, spaceships or action heroes blow things up. But if you are a fan of musicals and all things magical, Wicked is for you. The cars however, I can drive to and from magical places (if you're one of those fellas that think a nice B-road is magical then you're like me).
In Malaysia, fans of OMODA and the Wicked movie can view and snap photos with the OMODA 5 Pink Witch Edition vehicle which will be displayed at TGV Pavilion Bukit Jalil from 28 November to 11 December 2024
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jon M. Chu, Wicked boasts an all-star cast, featuring Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award winner and Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, a young woman misunderstood because of her green skin who has yet to discover her true power.
While Grammy Award-winning global superstar Ariana Grande plays Glinda, a popular young woman gilded by privilege who has yet to discover her true heart. They forge an unlikely friendship, their extraordinary adventures in the Oz will ultimately see them fulfill their destinies as Glinda the Good and Elphaba the Wicked Witch of the West.
In addition, the film stars Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh, film icon JeffGoldblum, Olivier Award winner and Emmy nominee Jonathan Bailey, and four-time Emmy Award winner Peter Dinklage. Wicked premieres across Malaysia from 22 November 2024.
With the film arriving in cinemas, there will be opportunities to view the specially customised Wicked-themed cars; the OMODA E5 Green Witch Edition and OMODA 5 Pink Witch Edition. These custom-designed wraps will give car enthusiasts and film fans the opportunity to experience their unique charm and extraordinary appeal up close.
