Yesterday, Monday, the 23rd of September 2024, PROTON, together with their technology partner, Geely, hosted a Driving Impression event for members of the media and other guests of which the 2025 Geely E5 battery EV was the subject matter, at the PROTON Test Track. The event provided an opportunity for us to experience the left-hand drive variant of the very recently launched Geely E5, which is the development sibling of the upcoming right hand drive Proton e.MAS 7. Proton e-Mas7 - Proton's first fully electric car revealed. To be launched later this year - Some thoughts


The folks at Proton has revealed their first ever fully electric car, the Proton e-MAS7. This is a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) based on Geely's Global Modular Architecture platform which from what we have seen is shared a whole lot with the Geely Galaxy E5 SUV Battery EV. The e-MAS moniker is Proton's brand name for their EVs and as you can see, since it's the e-Mas7, it is actually close to the size of the popular Proton X70 SUV.
