JAECOO J5 and OMODA C9 Triple-Motor PHEV Previewed At The First Ever OMODA | JAECOO Carnival - At Desa Park City till 24th August 2025

Earlier today, OMODA I JAECOO Malaysia opens its OMODA I JAECOO Carnival at Desa ParkCity which is scheduled to go on till the 24th of August 2025, or this coming weekend. They have also chosen this first ever  OMODA I JAECOO roadshow to preview the upcoming JAECOO J5 B segment SUV and the OMODA C9 Triple-Motor PHEV, a very rapid variant of the recently launched C9 Sports SUV.

Yesterday, Monday, the 23rd of September 2024, PROTON, together with their technology partner, Geely, hosted a Driving Impression event for members of the media and other guests of which the 2025 Geely E5 battery EV was the subject matter, at the PROTON Test Track. The event provided an opportunity for us to experience the left-hand drive variant of the very recently launched Geely E5, which is the development sibling of the upcoming right hand drive Proton e.MAS 7. Proton e.Mas to make appearance at this year's Malaysian National Day parade

The Proton e.MAS 7, aka the first ever fully battery electric powered Proton will be making its public appearance at Malaysia’s 67th National Day (if you're unaware, that's this 31st of August 2024). The brand’s first EV model was previewed to the media on 2 August, and will be launched at the end of the year. However, it will appear with a special camouflage motif representing the colours of the Jalur Gemilang, as part of a 25-car contingent featuring various Proton models. So still under some disguise and not showing its true colours yet.

Proton e-Mas7 - Proton's first fully electric car revealed. To be launched later this year - Some thoughts

The folks at Proton has revealed their first ever fully electric car, the Proton e-MAS7. This is a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) based on Geely's Global Modular Architecture platform which from what we have seen is shared a whole lot with the Geely Galaxy E5 SUV Battery EV. The e-MAS moniker is Proton's brand name for their EVs and as you can see, since it's the e-Mas7, it is actually close to the size of the popular Proton X70 SUV.

WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd (WTCA), a 100% owned subsidiary of Warisan TC Holdings Bhd,has officially opened the order books for the GAC GS3 EMZOOM compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). This will be available by the 2nd quarter of 2024 with a booking fee of RM1,000 and the first 100 bookings will be invited for a private event. The announcement was made during the Exclusive Preview event which also featured upcoming GAC and GAC AION, which are GAC's brand for electric vehicle models.
