UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT), which represents Toyota here in Malaysia is one of the exhibitors at the Malaysia Autoshow 2019. The Toyota booth, which is located in Hall A, is currently displaying six of its current and upcoming models as well as having some cars which can be test driven at the autoshow. One of the display models is the much awaited all-new Toyota Yaris which will be launched sometime soon. This year's Malaysia Autoshow is on from 11 to 14 April, 2019, at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) in Serdang, Selangor.
Aside from the All-New Toyota Yaris mentioned above, the other models on display are recently launched All-New Vios (a Yaris with a boot actually), All-New Camry 2.5, the 2019 CH-R, Innova 2.0GX and Hilux 2.4G Limited Edition. There will also be a Toyota Vios that is equipped with a sporty Toyota GAZOO Racing body kit on display. This should be one car that all those Vios drivers who like their car looking sporty to get some inspiration from I suppose.
Toyota aren't just displaying their cars to the visitors. There will be various activities at the Toyota booth with chances for visitors to win Toyota merchandise and other goodies.Toyota will also be featuring the Toyota GAZOO Racing (TGR) stuff during the weekend (13 and 14 April).
There will be appearances of the TGR Racing Festival celebrities who races in the Vios Challenge race, which is an ongoing one-make race that is now in its second season here in Malaysia. On Saturday, celeb driver Diana Danielle will be at the Toyota booth to meet fans and public, while Nabil Ahmad, Wany Hasrita and Khai Bahar will be dropping by on Sunday. So those into local celebs can get a chance to meet their favourite stars, whoever they are.
Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor said, “The current Toyota range in Malaysia has been enhanced and we also have several new models that was launched in the past six months. At our Toyota booth, we bring these latest models for the public to view and this includes the upcoming all-new Toyota Yaris which we will be launched soon.”
“However, just seeing the models may not be enough for those who are shopping for new cars. They can get behind the wheel and experience the drive, as we offer test-drives at the motor show. The public will have an opportunity to personally experience the performance, comfort and driving pleasure that Toyota vehicles has to offer and understand the efforts that we have put in, to offer ever-better vehicles for our customers,” he added.
Aside from that, visitors to the Toyota booth are also able to learn more about the various sales and aftersales services available from UMWT and its authorised dealers nationwide. These include attractive financing schemes such as the Toyota Capital EasyGrad Scheme which has lower monthly instalments and a minimum down payment of just 10% (terms and conditions apply)
Speaking about the Yaris again, it looks very nice in this lemony yellow. This is definitely one of the statement colours for this model and as some of you may know, Toyota will be pricing it quite aggressively here, with prices starting at approximately RM72,000 to around RM84,000. The hatchback design looks fresh and should be something that adds to the sales numbers for Toyota here. And for you information, we should be trying it out shortly sometime after its launch.
