Ford Ranger Raptor Now Offered in Arctic White and Absolute Black

Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC), the sole distributor of Ford in Malaysia, announced that the newly launched (in Malaysia) Ford Ranger Raptor will be available in two new body colours. These new colours are the Arctic White and Absolute Black which will be offered with the existing Lightning Blue and Conquer Grey colours offered.

The 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor is Malaysia’s first and currently, only premium performance pickup offered here. It comes equipped with specially tuned and calibrated FOX Racing Shox dampers which deliver 30% more wheel travel compared to the normal Ranger and allows the Raptor to drive over rougher than usual terrain at high speeds.

The Ranger Raptor features Ford’s latest 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel engine designed for pickup trucks. While it may be small in capacity, it is the smallest and most powerful engine in the market for a pickup . The Ranger Raptor (together with the similarly equipped Wildtrak 4X4 which has the same engine) makes 213PS and 500Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission which allows for performance and also economy in one efficient package.

In terms of entertainment and information, the Raptor comes equipped with Ford’s fully integrated, voice activation SYNC ® 3 infotainment system. Compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, its 8.0-inch full colour touchscreen also features an in-built satellite navigation system.

Basically SDAC is offering two new colours on this recently launched beast of a pickup truck. While the blue and grey colours are like signature colours which makes the Raptor noticeable, there are those that would still like the very popular black and white options for their truck. More choices are always a good thing. Personally, I still like the Grey.
