Bermaz, the authorised distributor of Mazda here in Malaysia have announced the exclusive preview of the Mazda CX-8 at the upcoming Malaysia Autoshow 2019. The now annual motorshow will be held on the 11-14 April 2019 at MAEPS. The venue is super suitable for a motorshow as it actually has a massive indoor and outdoor exhibition area for visitors to enjoy looking at the cars inside the halls and test drive the cars outside the exhibition halls. So while you catch a glimpse of the Mazda CX-8 inside the Mazda booth/pavilion, you can test drive some Mazda cars situated outside.
The Mazda CX-8 is actually a long wheelbase version of the popular Mazda CX-5 SUV. It seats 7 people in three rows, rather than the usual 5 seats of the CX-5 SUV and is powered by a 2.5liter 4 cylinder engine coupled to a 6 speed automatic transmission (for Malaysia) in either a front wheel drive or all-wheel drive setup (don't know what we are officially getting).
The CX-8 may look like a CX-9 but as you know, it isn't First launched at the end of 2017, it is due to have its Malaysian launch later this year. But if you are interested in catching a first glimpse of it, head over to the Malaysia Autoshow 2019 as it will be on display.
Mazda has also stated that while the car is on display at the Mazda booth, the interior of the Mazda CX-8 will be accessible during the official launch date (press day) on the 11th and during selected time slots on the 12th to the 14th April.

1pm-2pm
3pm-4pm
5pm-7pm
So do take note if you are interested in taking a look at the inside of the CX-8.
As for Mazda cars available for test drives, Bermaz will be providing the Mazda CX-5 2.5,CX-5 2.2D 4WD and the Mazda 6 2.5. They will be displaying the Mazda CX-8, CX-3, CX-5, CX-9 and the Mazda 6. So take note on the models on display and offered for test drive folks!
