Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Commercial Vehicles (MBM CV), the authorised distributor of FUSO trucks in Malaysia, together with authorised FUSO dealer, Vista Wheels Sdn Bhd, have officially delivered a total of 24 FUSO light duty trucks to Pentas Flora Sdn Bhd. Out of that 24 units, they recently delivered 5 units at a small ceremony. Pentas Flora are the only and largest privately-owned oil refinery plant operators in Malaysia. They have chosen FUSO trucks to be their main transport vehicle throughout Malaysia.
Pentas Flora Sdn Bhd have been a FUSO customer since 2011. Their latest 24 FUSO trucks comprises of primarily the FE71PB and FE83PG series of light-duty trucks. According to the design brief, the FE71PB series is commonly used for short distance distribution and inter-state logistic transportation whilst the FE83PG series is more suited for unpaved or rougher terrain. As MBM CV’s authorised FUSO dealer who sold the trucks, Vista Wheels Sdn Bhd, will also be providing extensive aftersales support and vehicle maintenance for Pentas Flora Sdn Bhd’s FUSO fleet which the oil & gas company uses to travel routinely to its branch offices nationwide.
Pentas Flora relies heavily on the transportation of used oil and it is also a one-stop provider for waste management. This is why they believe that their trucks need to be in as perfect a condition they can be as they depend on reliability and uptime to ensure the business runs efficiently as possible. Consistent aftersales service for their fleet is also vital in keeping their downtime to the minimum.
According to Pentas Flora's Operation Director, Mr David Ng, the company is on track for positive growth this year, so it is only natural that they look to MBM CV to expanding their FUSO truck fleet which they have deemed a reliable brand of vehicle for them. To date, FUSO trucks make up 90% of the company’s 61 units of the commercial vehicle fleet. Pentas Flora Sdn Bhd has stated that they are set to further expand its fleet by year end.

Established in 2008, Pentas Flora Sdn Bhd’s primary business is to provide an integrated solution of waste management and recycling used engine and other mineral oils for companies. The company is a member of the EXSIM Group Of Companies, Pentas Flora Sdn Bhd is currently on an aggressive expansion drive, with plans to open their 12th factory in Labuan this year.
This could be the last few dealings handled by MBMCV before the total handover of the business to Hap Seng Trucks Sdn Bhd. Earlier this year, Hap Seng Trucks Distribution Sdn Bhd acquired the Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Commercial Vehicle business. Hap Seng Trucks Distribution Sdn Bhd will be responsible for the commercial vehicle business, handling the import, assembly, wholesale distribution and aftersales service of Mercedes-Benz and FUSO commercial vehicles in Malaysia.
