On the 6th of November 2025, GWM Malaysia had introduced the refreshed ORA Good Cat Ultra and ORA Good Cat GT, which we must say is one of the first of the Electric vehicles sold here and could be the cutest of them all at the time of its launch. Now it has a refresh with the two variants where these EV hatchbacks are priced at RM109,800 and RM119,800 respectively, before any insurance.

Last week, PROTON launched the Proton e.MAS 5, which is the cheapest brand new EV on sale in Malaysia to date. This could be the catalyst for the EV market here in Malaysia as it brings affordability coming in from RM59,800 for the Prime and RM72,800 before any insurance for the loaded Premium variant. With it, brings affordability to the EV market and with anything, especially when after all the first adopters have bought their EVs, comes this second wave to try capture the sceptics and those first adopters with shallower pockets. As on a personal note, I believe the first adopters buying new energy vehicles over RM100,000 is now on a decline.
New video alert! This is our impressions and opinions after Proton allowed us a go with the upcoming (as at upload) 2025 2026 Proton e.MAS 5 battery electric vehicle (BEV). Do note that the test drive was under strict embargo rules so they unfortunately had a non stickered eMAS 5 out beside the stickered one and only allowed us to show the stickered one. It made footage hard. So you will only see me babbling on about the car. But if you want to know my opinion, this is it.
This is based on the Geely Star Wish and it set to be priced between 60k - 80k Malaysian Ringgit.
On the 24th October 2025, Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (HMSM) and their dealer, Soon Seng Truck and Parts Sdn Bhd (SSTP), officially opened the new HASO, or Hino Approved Service Outlet, in Subang Jaya, Selangor. Volvo Buses Malaysia is doing its part in trying to make Malaysia better environmentally. The brand has officially launched of its new bus chassis, the B11R, which has been engineered to meet the Euro 5 emission standard, a globally recognised benchmark for cleaner emissions. Aside from the new engine ability to meet emission standards, this latest Volvo bus chassis is said to deliver outstanding performance in fuel efficiency, durability, and safety.

SAIC Motor Malaysia on the 15th of October, announced plans to begin local assembly of MG vehicles in Malaysia scheduled to begin in the first half of 2026. An important milestone in bringing MG products closer to Malaysian customers, by taking advantage of the tax breaks provided for manufacturing in Malaysia, as well as also strengthening the brand's presence regionally.

Chery Malaysia had on the 3rd of October 2025 launched its Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs): the TIGGO 7 PHEV and TIGGO 8 PHEV SUVs The Tiggo 7 PHEV will be priced at RM129,800 on the road before insurance while the TIGGO 8 PHEV is priced at RM159.800 before insurance and both are fully decked out in terms of its specification and equipment levels, with some slight differences.
While the TIGGO 8 is essentially a 7 seater TIGGO 7 (which is a 5 seater), there are enough equipment differences between the models. The price difference is because of the differences in equipment, slightly upgraded features as well as the extra length in the TIGGO 8. So there was a balance of equipment and specifications in both models that Chery Malaysia needed to do to sell at the price point they chose for the models.
This morning, WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd (WTCA), the official distributor of GAC in Malaysia, officially launched the all-new GAC EMKOO. This is a C segment SUV, with prices starting from RM123,800 for the Premium variant and the Premium Pro variant is priced at RM133,800. Both are on the road prices before any insurance. Yesterday, Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (HMSM) officially launched its new Hino 300 Series Euro 5 Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) over at the Hino Total Support Customer Centre (HTSCC) in Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan. We were invited to the event that saw the preview of two upgraded Hino 300 models. These were the 300 series 4-Wheeler and 6-Wheeler upgraded variants now fitted eith more efficient Euro 5 engines. These new models are in line with with the theme “Strong, Smart & Smooth for Your Business.”
The launch was officiated by the Managing Director of Hino Motors Sales, Mr. Hiroshi Takahashi; Corporate Director, Mr. Motonori Nakamura, Director, Mr. Ahmad Yasmin Yahya, and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Chan Ing Chyi. Also present from Hino Motors Manufacturing were Managing Director Mr. Hiroshi Yamaguchi and Finance Director Mr. Kohei Sakura. Alsp present were Hino dealers and members of the media.
A couple of days ago, on the 9th of Septermber, iCAUR Malaysia launched the iCAUR 03, its first model for Malaysia. The 03 is positioned as Malaysia’s first fully electric off- road capable SUV. The C-segment model is set to pioneer the adventure Battery EV (BEV) category by blending performance, safety, and versatility. This bit of news is a little bit late compared to others as I was a little occupied with things. It happens you know.

Chery Malaysia has launched the all-new Chery O5 on the 10th of September 2025. This is essentially the Chery Omoda 5 refreshed, improved and renamed for Malaysia. According to Chery Malaysia, the new O5 features several first-in-class and upgraded features. The compact SUV is priced very affordably at RM116,800 before insurance and has an attractive launch package for early birds (stated below).
Yesterday, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia launched the all-new Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé alongside the new Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ Coupé Final Edition.

Yesterday, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia unveiled the new Mercedes-Benz C 200 AMG Line variant of the very popular C-Class range here. This is basically the sportier looking C 200 variant and is essentially the same as the Avantgarde or normal, C200. This AMG Line bodykitted, AMG Line interior trim and slightly different alloy wheeled variant takes over the C200 AV which has been on sale since this generation of C-Class, the W206 was first launched here slightly over two years ago. Priced at RM 292,888 on the road before any insurance, it offers a little more looks for around the same price, offering more for the same.
