Triumph Motorcycles Malaysia Launches the 2019 Triumph Speed Twin, Street Twin, Street Scrambler, Scrambler XC & Scrambler XE

Earlier this evening, Triumph Motorcycles Malaysia decided to launch five new 2019 models for the Malaysian market at a special event that saw the four of the motorcycles ‘unboxed’ in front of the media and invited guests. The 2019 Triumph `Modern Classics’ are the new Street Twin, Street Scrambler, Scrambler XC, Scrambler XE and Speed Twin are priced from RM55,900, RM64,900, RM80,900, RM86,900 and RM73,900 respectively. All prices quoted are inclusive of 10% sales and service tax.

Bonhams, one of the world's largest and most renowned auctioneers who are renowned for offering fine art and antiques, motor cars and jewellery to the highest bidder has an interesting motorcycle themed auction coming this April 2019 over in Stafford, England. The auction, called the Bonhams annual Spring Stafford Sale is a two-day affair and it will be held at the International Classic MotorCycle Show in Stafford on 27 and 28 April 2019. The  auction will offer a variety of machinery, hard-to-find spares and important memorabilia with more than 600 lots up for bid. Of course, if you over in Stafford at that point of time, there is this notable auction as well as the classic motorcycle show to go visit! Notable brands include Brough Superior, MV Augusta, Coventry Eagle and more.

This is a short video I'd like to share with you folks. The 8 gets started up right after the launch event ends. After dinner, the chaps at BMW Malaysia started up the M850i xDrive for a bit. Both of the cars were started up and we got to hear is sing. A little. Not a whole lot as this was a static display and we all know engines like this sing best when there is some load put to it. 

Perodua Aiming for the Aruz to Top SUV Sales in Sabah & Sarawak / Perodua Aruz TransBorneo Convoy is Ongoing - 16th to 22nd March 2019

Perodua has announced that is would like for their new SUV, the Perodua Aruz, to top the SUV sales charts over in Sabah and Sarawak. The two states, make up East Malaysia and is a predominantly SUV-driven market. This new target by Perodua was announced at the flag off for the Perodua Aruz TransBorneo Convoy, where six Perodua Aruz will travel from Kuching, Sarawak to Tawau in Sabah. This is a 1,500km journey and should be a journey that will prove the capabilities of the Aruz SUV for the people over there.

Recently, TC Euro Cars (TCEC), who officially sell  Renault vehicles here in Malaysia, concluded their ‘Renault Test Drive Challenge’ with a prize presentation ceremony to 85 lucky winners. These lucky people test drove Renault vehicles, whether at Renault showrooms or through choosing to rent a Renault under GoCar and by doing so within the promo period, won lots of prizes. Perodua Clarifies Details on the Perodua Bezza Estimated Service Costs - They Say It Should Be Calculated Differently

There have been news articles or reports published recently that Perodua Bezza service costs are estimated at being 32% higher than those of the Proton Persona. So Perodua has now issued a press release where they  wish to clarify that the information used by certain online portals on their  service details is inaccurate and misleading. The media reports, posted on 11 March 2019, had illustrated the difference between the five-year service costs of the Proton Persona and two other car models, purportedly the Perodua Bezza and Honda City.

BMW Launches The 8 - A New 8 Series After a Long Absence with the M850i xDrive as the Sole Variant Offered in Malaysia

Yesterday I attended BMW Group Malaysia's launch of The 8. This, like The 7, is not like a 3, 5, or even an X5, is the flagship coupe in BMW's premium vehicle lineup.  The 8, in this 850i form, is fitted with a 4.4 liter V8 engine coupled to the BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system and BMW Efficient Lightweight design measures. According to BMW, this New 8 series, the second after many, many years, is BMW's entry once again into the full-sized grand touring, sports coupe segment.

PROTON Unveils the 2019 Proton Persona Facelift to the Media - Persona 1.6 Premium CVT Test Drive (Video) & Exclusive Online Booking Now Open Till 22nd March 2019 at RM9.90 Only

The 2019 Proton Persona facelift was officially unveiled to the Malaysian media yesterday and we also managed a test drive of the Persona 1.6 Premium CVT. This comes about eleven days after PROTON unveiled the 2019 Proton Iriz facelift. The whole preview process was held at PROTON’s Malaysia Design Centre and test track in Shah Alam. It was deja vu. Except this time the Iriz had become a Persona, which is essentially an Iriz with a boot. Since this is a facelift, the changes were down to the exterior styling, the addition of the voice command GKUI Infotainment system and some minor changes or quality improvements to 303 parts inside the facelifted Persona.

We had the privilege to be taken for a taxi ride by Hiroshi Masuoka (above, middle), Two Time, Consecutive Dakar Rally Champion 2003-2004 in the new 2019 Mitsubishi Triton pickup truck at the 4Sure Thrill roadshow organised by Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) over the weekend at Setia City Convention Centre. Aside from the obvious, which was Masuoka San's driving, the new Triton was actually quite good.

Hyundai Motor has shared with us pictures of the upcoming eight generation 2020 Model Year Hyundai Sonata. This time, the latest iteration of the Sonata embodies Hyundai’s latest design language called the Sensuous Sportiness design concept. It is a fully transformed vehicle following the release of the previous generation Sonata in 2014 which somehow did not catch the eye of the Malaysian consumer unlike the one prior to that.
