Recently, TC Euro Cars (TCEC), who officially sell Renault vehicles here in Malaysia, concluded their ‘Renault Test Drive Challenge’ with a prize presentation ceremony to 85 lucky winners. These lucky people test drove Renault vehicles, whether at Renault showrooms or through choosing to rent a Renault under GoCar and by doing so within the promo period, won lots of prizes. Five grand prizes which were brand new Apple iPhones XS in addition to 50 petrol gift cards worth RM100 each and 30 exclusive Renault gift packs were given away.
The ‘Renault Test Drive Challenge’ was held at all Renault showrooms throughout Malaysia between 1st November to 31st December 2018. One unique aspect of the challenge was that the test drives were also open to GoCar customers who opted to use the Renault Captur crossoever through the ride-sharing platform during the contest period. This promotion was aimed to encourage people to try out a Renault and see what the brand has to offer in terms of drive experience. TCEC states that the response was encouraging.
At the small prize presentation ceremony, Kuan Kim Luen, CEO, TC Euro Cars Sdn Bhd said, “We’re gratified that so many people have participated in this test drive challenge and gotten behind the wheel to try out a Renault vehicle. Congratulations to all the winners. We hope to hold more of such campaigns to bring the brand closer to more Malaysians and give them more reasons to consider a Renault,”
The five grand prize winners include 47-year-old Siti Noriah binti Arshad, Rohazlin binti Zukkafli, 34, Ganesh Kumar Manokara, Mohamed Al-Azadi Aljohari, 36 and 51-year-old Amran Md Shaari who entered through his test drive experience with GoCar.
Mohamed Al-Azadi Aljohari said that he was surprised to win and was actually interested to try out the Renault Koleos which seemed to have impressed him. What pushed him to try out the Koleos was a friend who had bought the Captur which made him intrigued about the larger Koleos SUV. No idea if he booked one or not though.
Ganesh Kumar Manokara test drove the Captur (and then bought one) said he was happy to have been chosen as a winner and also said that he had quite a good experience with the Renault sales consultant who was very helpful throughout his purchase process.
Well, glad to hear that the Renault test drive experience was fruitful to all parties in one way or the other. Personally, Renaults are well styled French vehicles which do deserve a larger presence here. They're slightly different from the norm and if one likes standing out from the crowd, this could be it.
