Volkswagen Jetta ALLSTAR launched at the Volkswagen Fest 2017

The Volkswagen Fest 2017 is currently ongoing till this Sunday, 13th August 2017. This is a celebration of all things Volkswagen, new and even the classics. It is because of this momentous occasion that Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) chose to launch two new variants of its popular cars. One of which is the Volkswagen Jetta ALLSTAR which we now write about in here (The other is the Merdeka Edition Beetle).

The Volkswagen Jetta ALLSTAR is the latest of a series of ALLSTAR editions to be launched by VPCM. The range was first introduced with the Polo ALLSTAR earlier this year, and followed by the Vento ALLSTAR in June. This is the third model and it is now the largest ALLSTAR you can buy for now. VPCM states that the ALLSTAR series of vehicles is a limited run series which was developed specifically for discerning customers who wish to stand out from the crowd.

So in order to make the Volkswagen Jetta slightly more unique that the usual Jetta variants that you see on the roads here, the Jetta ALLSTAR comes with RM3,000 worth of exclusive accessories installed. The Jetta ALLSTAR now gets aluminium sports pedals, rear trunk spoiler, ‘ALLSTAR’ scuff plates, emblems and carpet mats. All optional parts thrown into a Jetta and sold at the same price as before. It is a better deal obviously.

All Jetta variants sold here in Malaysia are equipped with the Volkswagen 1.4L TSI single-turbocharged engine with an improved 7-speed direct shift gearbox (DSG) powering the front wheels. The engine delivers 150PS, and torque of 250Nm between 1,500 to 3,500rpm. Useful turbocharged performance by the looks of it. Official figures state that it can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in 8.6 seconds and would still give 5.0l/100 km**(Fuel consumption figures are obtained under standardised EU test conditions, and may not represent the actual fuel consumption achieved in real world driving conditions).

The Jetta ALLSTAR is priced from RM109,990*(retail price and does not include registration and insurance).
There are four colours available - Candy White, Platinum Grey, Reflex Silver and Deep Black
