Mitsubishi Roadshow coming up folks!!! This time, Mitsubishi Motor Malaysia wants to bring you some Dakar Rally style experience at their Mitsubishi 4Sure Thrill event with two-time Dakar Rally champion Hiroshi
Masuoka from Japan and Malaysian Motorsports Athlete, Leona Chin. The
event will be happening on the 9th & 10th of March 2019
(Saturday-Sunday) at the Setia City Convention Centre, Outdoor carpark from
10am-8pm. Admission is free. So if you have nothing much to do this weekend, head over there.
Now if you aren't aware of who the two people mentioned above, well, you're lucky, as we are here to tell you about them... Hiroshi Masuoka is the second Japanese driver to date to win the Dakar Rally. He first won in 2002 in a Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero. Masuoka took a second successive victory in 2003. With a driver like Masuoka as well as their vehicles, Mitsubishi Motors is the most successful make in Dakar Rally history, winning the “World's Toughest Race” a record of 12 times.
As for Leona Chin, she is no stranger to those who follow motorsports here in Malaysia. An experienced race car driver, Leona first ventured into motorsports when she was 20 and was quickly associated with the title ‘girl drifter’. Some of Leona’s recent achievements include Most Promising Female Motorsports Athlete in the Asia Automotive Awards 2019 and Most Inspiring Female Motorsports Athlete in the PETRONAS SIC Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM) Awards. She is also a brand ambassador for Mitsubishi Malaysia.
High Speed Taxi Rides in a Mitsubishi Triton by Masuoka & Leona Chin
Hiroshi
Masuoka and Leona Chin will be leading the high speed taxi rides by showcasing
the capabilities of the new Mitsubishi Triton. The new Triton adopted four pillars
under the 4Sure Handling USPs:4Sure Power; 4Sure Control; 4Sure Agility;
4Sure Safety. With these four pillars, customers are assured of a vehicle that
is built to high standards and performance. This is quite unique. Experiencing a pickup truck doing high speed runs is quite unique! Usually you get cars doing these sort of rides.

riding on the high-speed rides with Hiroshi Masuoka and Leona Chin, customers
can test drive the new Triton on an
off-road track with uneven surface and muddy terrain which was specially
designed to test Mitsubishi Motors Super-Select
4WD II system and off-road mode. The track also
features a descending track to test the Hill
Descent Control on the new Triton.
